I Love You 2/2

Previously:

   "Oh Chaton, you didn't need to worry. I trust you to make the right choice. I'm not mad at you for what she said." I say. He looks relieved and I smile. "I love you, Princess." Chat said, pulling me into a hug. "I love you too, mon minou." I say quietly. I lean back and kiss him softly, my heart feeling complete.

Now:

   I wake up and hit my alarm to turn it off. I had spent last night with Chat talking about the party and also the Akuma that had happened. It felt weird talking about myself in the third person as if Ladybug and Marinette are two different people but I guess that to everyone else, we're two different people. I get ready for the day and head to school.

   "Marinette!"Alya yells when she sees me, running towards me. "Hey Alya, what's up?" I ask, already knowing what she's going to say. "Did you not see the news?! Ladybug confessed during yesterday's Akuma that she loved Chat! Girl, we both know that Chat has had a major crush on her for a while. How are you supposed to compete with a superhero?" Alya said as we walked up the steps.

   "Alya, chill. After the Akuma, Chat came over and we talked. We are still together and everything is fine. Ladybug had told him after the Akuma that she didn't tell him because she knew he was dating someone and she just wanted to stay friends and platonic partners with him." I say. She sighs in relief and smiles. "Well, I guess all the drama is over for today." 

   I giggle and say "I guess so unless we have another Akuma of course. Two in a row is excessive but it has happened before." We talk about the Ladyblog and it's progress as we walk to class. We walk in and sit down. The bell rings and class starts.

   The teacher was lecturing and most of the class was bored.  Suddenly there was a jolt as the whole school shook.

Boom!

   I stood up and ran to the front of the classroom. "Everyone needs to evacuate, now!" I yell as I throw open the classroom door and run out. I run to each classroom and make sure everyone starts evacuating. I ran through the school, making sure all the classrooms were empty before running through the courtyard.

   As I'm running, I see a man in a pink suit with a blackish purple rose in the breast pocket and what looks like a crossbow. "I am Love Keeper, and I shall make everyone tell who their true love is! No more heartbreak." He starts shooting bundles of chains that bind you until you tell the truth about who you love.

   "Seriously, what is up with all of the flipping love Akumas?!" I mutter in a frustrated voice. I see Adrien is still near the school but I guess I'm not the only one who spotted him. "You, young man. I know you have tons of admirers who want to be with you but who do you truly love?" Love Keeper says before shooting him with a bundle of chains.

(Warning: You might hate this next part but please don't hate on me for it, everything that happens, happens for a reason, no matter how dumb and annoying it might seem at the time.)

   I watched in horror as the chains slowly tightened around him, frozen to my spot on the ground. He yelled in pain as the Akuma laughed maniacally. "You better spill before anything breaks, we wouldn't want the precious model in the hospital because he was too embarrassed to say his feelings."

   As I heard what he said, it felt as if time slowed to a standstill. "M-marinette." He said just above a whisper. My eyes widened as I had been put in almost the same situation that Chat had been. The chains dissolved and My feet finally moved, but instead of running away like my brain was telling them to, I ran to him and helped him up.

   "Adrien, are you okay? Did you get hurt by the chains?" I say as I pull him up and scan him for an injury. "No, I'm fine, but we should leave before he traps you too." He says. I look at him in worry before I nod. "I'll be right back, you go. I think I saw someone else in the school." I say so I can go transform.

   "Okay, just be quick and safe." Adrien says. I nod then run back into the school. I head towards the indoor staircase and open my purse. "Tikki, spots on!" I transform while running, my pace picking up slightly once the transformation is done. I pull out my yo-yo and call Chat.

   "Hey LB, what's up?" He saysas he answers. "Are you here yet? I need your help to retrieve the rose in his breast pocket, that's where the Akuma is." I say while jumping up onto the roof. I'm here. I'll meet you at the Akuma." He says before ending the call. I close my yo-yo and zip off to the Akuma's new position.

   I see Chat fighting the Akuma villian. I run up behind the villian while he is distracted and snatch the Rose. I snap the stem and capture the Akuma. I release the butterfly and turn to Chat. "Thanks for the help Chat. Oh, and Marinette told me to tell you that she wants to meet you on her balcony." Chat nods and then vaults away towards my house.

  I run to the school after using my lucky charm to fix the damage and release my transformation. Tikki flies into my purse and I start running to my house. I run up the stairs and say a quick hello to my parents before going into my room and climbing up to my balcony. I see Chat leaning on the railing waiting and run up behind him. 

   I trap him in a hug and bury my face into his shoulder. I start crying and I feel him shift us so that I am facing his chest. I sob as he rubs my back and I just want to hold onto him. I calm down some but tears are still rolling down my cheeks. "Hey, Princess, what's wrong?" I hear him say in a soft voice.

   "Chat, I don't know what I'm supposed to do. I'm scared you hate me." I whisper. I feel him tense up and think this is it. This is where my boyfriend dumps me and I become a depressed marshmallow. (don't judge, I was hungry) "Now why do you say that?" He says, resuming stroking my hair. "Because I heard Adrien say that he loves me but I still love you and I-I don't want to lose you." I say, on the verge of tears.

Chat's POV:

   So she did hear me. But she said that she didn't want to lose me.... she thinks I will leave her because her old crush has developed feelings for her? Well, I still love her of course and she just doesn't know it's me I thought as I held her close. "Princess, I love you so much, I don't hate you." I say. I tilt her head up and look at her before pulling her in for a kiss.

   I hold her close as I kiss her passionately, pouring my love into it. I can taste the salt from her tears mixed with the sweet strawberry chapstick she wears. She smells like chocolate and fresh bread. I love her so much. We break the kiss and she cuddles up to me on the balcony. I notice the cool breeze and carefully carry her inside.

   I set her down on her bed and go to get some hot chocolate but she pulls me down on the bed. I land on her and blush as I realize my head landed on her chest. I blush and sit up to see her giggling. "KItty, I just want to cuddle for a bit. Come here." She says, gesturing for me to come closer. I slowly rest my head on her stomach and lay between her legs as I hug her waist.

Marinette's POV: 

   He timidly rests his head on my stomach and then relaxes, wrapping his arms around my waist. I pet his hair and sigh. It feels like I'm cuddling a real cat. He's soft and cuddly, it even feels like he's purring.... wait, HE"S PURRING!!!! I think. "Chat, are you purring?" I ask. "N-no." He says while still purring. "You are!!! It's so cute." I squeal quietly. He chuckles. "I love you, Princess." He says. "I love you too, mon Chaton."
