"Well make sure to ask a friend or someone to go with you okay sweetheart?"
"O-okay mom..." she replied in a nervous tone. Her mother closed the door and began walking back down the stairs. She started thinking about going to prom with her crush, the dancing, the food, the romance, it made her face red and made her feel like she could anything. She wanted to do all she could do to get her crush to go with her... but how? She then recalled something Kris told her. They ate chalk. Of course! She began to get ready to go to school, she put on a black skirt, and a green and red sweater with black sleeves. She looked in her nearest drawer, inside an unused box of white chalk sat waiting for this moment. Noelle grabbed it and a basket, quickly she went to grab a piece of paper, she drew a heart on it and wrote "Will you go to prom with me? I've been crushing on you for a while now, we've only a few interactions with each other but I always feel like I'm flying when I'm around you. Sincerely N.H. P.s you'll know who I am, don't worry." She put hearts around her initials and then neatly put the chalk and letter into the basket. She walked down the stairs, grabbed her backpack, and started straight for school. She didn't think, all she felt was pride in telling Susie how she felt and finally doing what she always wanted.
P.O.V change : Susie
A messy bedroom with a tore up dark blue wallpaper, dark yet light outside. Susie began to wake up, her yellow eyes hurt as a ray of light peeked through the blinds and hit them. She sat up, then, slowly began to put on her purple jacket, ripped jeans, and her usual black shoes. She grabbed a rose, she looked at it intently.
"I'm tired of staying far away," she whispered under her breath, "I'm tired of admiring from afar..." loud footsteps were coming towards her room, quickly, she grabbed her backpack, opened the window, and climbed out. She would finally admit, but of course, she'd need advice. She figured Kris would already be at the school, so she didn't bother walking all the way to his house.
