midnight water

It was late at night when Woojin woke up with his mouth and throat feeling completely dry. He sighed and made his way down the ladder of the bunk bed and out the door. Walking into the kitchen, he heard crackling sounds and stopped in his tracks.

"What the hell is that noise?" He asked himself. He heard shuffling and then complete silence. He blinked and shook his head. He thought he was just hearing things and continued his trip to the cabinet to get a glass cup for his water.

When he was filling up his cup, he heard the crackling noises once again. He turned off the faucet trying to get a good listen of the sound to distinguish it, but they had gotten softer.

"It's probably from outside. Those fuckers never fixed the broken window."

"You're right." Woojin replied, drinking his glass of water, setting it into the sink and then going back to bed.

Once Woojin had closed his door the boys in the kitchen sighed.

"That was so close." Jeongin whispered from the top of the refrigerator, pouring another bag of pop rocks in his mouth.

"I thought we were done for when Felix opened his mouth." Jisung said, opening the cabinet in which he was in and eating peanut butter.

"Hey! We needed a distraction since Jeongin wouldn't stop eating the pop rocks." Felix defended himself, opening the fridge in which he is in.

"In my defense, they were mysteriously falling out of the packet and they didn't need to go to waste, so I ate them!" He exclaimed.

"Mysteriously, my ass! I literally saw you pouring them into your palm!" Felix argued.

"How? You were inside the fridge!" Jeongin exclaimed.

As Felix and Jeongin argued, Jisung ate his peanut butter and watched in amusement at the boys who were throwing insults at one another.

"Can you please shut up? I'm trying to eat my watermelon." Seungmin asked opening the dish washer door.

"Sorry Seungmin." The boys said in unison and went back to what they were doing.
