Losing him (Janto fan fic)

Training

"Keep up" says Jack to Gwen who was struggling to counter and deflect Jack's quick attacks. Jack was in his standard clothes except his jacket and shirt was off. He only has a White Tee-shirt with his suspenders on and black dress pants. Gwen had her hair up in a pony tail, white Tee-shirt, black combat cargos and Black combat boots on. Everyone was watching closely. Jack managed to get a good punch in that made Gwen back up.

"You gotta counter that Gwen" says Jack. Gwen swept Jack off his feet and let a good punch in. Jack put his hand up in defeat. Gwen helped him up.

"Looks like your not rusty"" says Jack smirking.

"Someone's had to pick up the slack and rebuild the team" says Gwen.

"Looks like you didn't do too bad" says Jack.

"Would have been better if you were around" says Gwen laughing.

"Mathew and Lewis. Your turn" says Jack laughing. Mathew and Lewis both step forth.

"Go" says Gwen. Mathew throws the first punch and Lewis narrowly deflects the punch. Lewis grabS Matthew's hand and flips him over. Mathew groans but gets back up.

"Pick up the pace! You don't fight like that when fighting an enemy do you?" asks Jack. Mathew sucker punches Lewis who falls. Lewis stumbles and falls back.

"You alright man?" asks Matthew extending a hand. Lewis takes it and then flips over Mathew. Mathew falls hard. Lewis gets up and kicks Lewis.

"Alright, I think I've seen enough" says Jack. Lewis helps Mathew up.

"Anabeth...and Ianto" says Jack. Ianto looks at Jack strange. Anabeth laughs loudly.

"Try not to bruise him up" says Jack.  Ianto shakes his head and takes off his suit jacket and tie. He puts the tie on Jack. Jack and Gwen both laugh.

"Come on Jones" says Anabeth. Ianto turns around taking his time. Anabeth goes to punch him but Ianto deflects it easily. Ianto continues to deflect a bunch of punches.

"Throw a punch Ianto" says Gwen.

"I will when the moment is right" says Ianto.

"AKA Never?" asks Anabeth finally landing a punch. Ianto barely moves with the punch. Ianto sweeps Anabeth off her feet and punches her in her throat. Anabeth taps out struggling to not swallow her gun. Jack claps and helps Anabeth up. Jack puts the tie back on Ianto.

"Why, don't like the tie?" asks Ianto.

"No I love the tie...on you" says Jack. Ianto takes his Suit Jacket and holds it in his arm. Ianto blushes slightly and looks down. Gwen, Anabeth's,Mathew, and Lewis' phone rings. After a couple of seconds, the alarm goes off.

"Rift activity" says Gwen. Jack takes out hos old earpiece and  smirks.

"Those aren't going to work anymore...here" says Lewis handing Jack a earpiece that was lit up in blue. All of them run to the Torchwood car except Lewis and Ianto.

"What's the difference between my old earpiece and this one?" asks Jack. He was in the passenger seat with Mathew at the wheel.

"Lewis is our Techy. He configured all of the new earpieces with a tracker, new secret frequencies, and better signals. And he fixed all of our phones so that the alarm goes off on our phone too" says Gwen. Jack makes an approving face.

"Take the next right, Mathew" says Lewis over the earpiece.

"How far until contact?" asks Jack.

"5 Meters straight ahead" says Lewis. Jack, along with Gwen, Anabeth, and Mathew take out their guns. Mathew stops in front of a big blue box.

"STOP DON'T SHOOT" yells Jack before Anabeth shoots.

"What is it?" asks Anabeth still with her gun in the air.

"The doctor" says Jack knocking on the box.

"Hello" says the Doctor popping his head out. The doctor and Jack hug.

"Doctor, this is the new Torchwood team. My second in command, Gwen. Doctor Mathew McCain. Anabeth Ross" says Jack.

"Pleasure to meet you all" says The Doctor.

"So what brings you here?" asks Jack. The doctor looks at him. Jack narrows his eyes.

"I'll be back" says Jack following the Doctor into the TARDIS. (A/N: the Doctor is being portrayed by David Tennant. My favorite Doctor).

In the TARDIS

"He's not dead." says The Doctor.

"Who isn't dead?" asks Jack.

"The Master! He's alive!" says The Doctor shaking Jack.

"Where?" asks Jack.

"On earth...you need to prepare everyone..but not tell them...not yet. I'll be back when The Master begins his plan. Just know...next time....it may be a much longer fight" says The Doctor.

"Call me as soon as you find out The Master is moving forth with his plan" says Jack handing The Doctor a spare phone.

"Just type in Jack and it will automatically dial me" says Jack.

"RIGHT. Now off you go to prepare them....if you want only tell that Gwen girl. I cam tell you two have known each other a while" says The Doctor.

"Good seeing you Doc!" says Jack walking out the TARDIS. The TARDIS hums and disappears.

"What was it?" asks Anabeth.

"Nothing. He just wanted to see me again." says Jack glancing at Gwen.

"So false alarm?" asks Lewis over the earpiece.

"Yes" says Jack.

"Who is he?" asks Anabeth.

"The Doctor" replies Jack.

"Doctor Who?" asks Anabeth.

"Just the Doctor" says Jack.

"This might be a much longer fight" echoed through Jack's mind.
