Chapter 14
"I know! I got it! I'm on my way! Geez, Amy! What the hell is this BIG emergency anyways?!?!" I screamed into my phone as I rushed to the resto meeting place.
"Just hurry, quick!"
"But-!"
I sighed as the call ended. Dammit Ames!!!
Growling to myself, I pushed open the restaurant doors and immediately spotted Amy's black bob.
I marched to her and stopped, dead in my tracks, staring at the person she was talking to.
She stared back at me, her expression mimicking mine, she looked like a deer in the headlights.
My eyes narrowed and Ame's finally noticing me and the tension in the air turned to me.
I glared at her ferociously in anger and betrayal.
"I can explain-" Amy started but I cut her off.
"Forget it."
I turned and was about to trudge back toward the restaurant's doors until I felt someone grab my arm.
Pauline.
"Wait! Amy has something important she wants to say to you." And she gave Ames a look. Similar to how a mother looks at her child when she forces her to do something but they don't want to because it would be embarassing? That's the one.
"I have a confession to make..."
I knew what Ames was going to say. That she's given up on me. She was going to the dark side and she's joining forces with the heir to the demon herself, Katie at their biggest attempt to screw up my life even more than it always has been.
But what she said next was something I never expected to hear, even if I go through a million lifetimes.
"I gave Katie the picture..."
