Boba Date

It was a nice spring day, sun shining, flowers soon to bloom, and the weather was perfect. Stampy always wanted to try this thing called Boba, which due to some research he found out it was a type of tea. And Stampy (being a complete British stereotype) he couldn't help but want to try it.

So for months, Stampy was waiting until it was nice enough to go try some of this bubble tea. But the weather was always so bad and cold to go out and try to find a place. Not that he's lazy, it's that he doesn't like going outside when it's below 0 Celsius.

But now was the perfect time to go try some! So trying to be nice he invited Stacy along, being friends and all. And so it was time. Today was the day. He would finally try some new Asian tea. Of course, he got ready, took a bath, got dressed, actually dried his hair instead of letting it dry naturally too! And he even put on a cute green bow tie, for good measure. With a little pep talk and a compliment from Dan, he was off to the meeting place.

Now on the other side of town, Stacy was lying on her couch and reading a book. It was only when she looked at the time (1:27) she put her book down and sighed. She remembered about hanging out with Stampy today and started to get ready.

Of course, she was already dressed, nothing different just jeans and her famous blue and white striped shirt. She brushed her hair (for the second time today). And had a little five-minute argument with herself if she should wear her glasses or not. She ended up choosing no, multiple reasons backed her up.

Without any further judgment, she grabbed her satchel and made her way outside and down the street. Fortunately, Lizzie saw her and had a smirk on her face. Sneaking behind Stacy and putting a rose in her satchel, how Stacy didn't notice was beyond Lizzie's understanding.

2:00, a block away from the boba place. It was so close Stampy could already taste it. But then like any brief accident, he bumped into someone. "I'm sorry!" He said, helping the person up. Turns out the person was none other than Stacy herself.

"Hello, Stacy!" Stamp said, with a big dopey smile on his face.

"Hey Stampy..." Stacy groaned. She looks at a stray dog for five seconds and she bumps into Stampy.

"Well, we're not getting any closer to that tea if we stand around! Let's go!" Stampy cheered. He ran off with Stacy trailing behind.

They did get to the place and bought their boba, and were now just walking around near the more urban section of town. Bakeries, small clothing shops, etc. it was all on one street.

Though as they stopped to sit on a bench and finish their boba (which Stampy was personally enjoying), Stampy noticed the rose that was sticking out of Stacy's satchel. Trying to be cute or maybe Stampy just being himself, he grabbed the rose and held it with his teeth.

"What are you doing?" Stacy asked.

While Stampy was trying not to laugh and Stacy was confused as to where he got that rose from they heard someone yell, "I ship it!" The two looked over at the voice and saw Dan and Lizzie staring at them from a few feet away. Dan taking pictures with his phone and Lizzie saying stuff about how they're her OTP.

Stacy who was now embarrassed stammered, "Well I uh, I need to feed my dogs. Bye!" And she ran off. Leaving poor little Stampy by himself.

A few days later Stampy decided to go over to Stacy's house to hang out. Someplace without Dan and Lizzie to ruin it. They knew he had a crush on Stacy, and they only teased him about it. He always had a hunch Stacy knew about it, maybe they told her. Gosh, he hoped they didn't.

Anyways, he arrived at her house (which took less than a minute to get there) and knocked on the door. Of course, he heard one of her dogs barking and a cat meow. The second time he knocked he heard someone moving and unlocked the door.

Stacy opened the door looking like she just got out of bed and bluntly asked him, "What?"

"I didn't mean to wake you up. I can always come back later if you want." Stampy apologized.

Stacy sighed, "It's fine. Come in, just give me a few minutes."

She let him in and closed the door. Stampy sat down on the couch, petting one of the cats that came up to him; and he watched Stacy leave the room.

Every now and then he would look up to see her come in and out of the room as if she was looking for something. One moment she would be coming down the stairs and the next she'll be running from room to room. He even saw her take a little rectangular box out of her pocket and open it. Did she forget he was in the room? Regardless, he watched as she took something out of the box and put it on her face. Glasses.

Now Stampy knew she had glasses, he just never seen her with them on. Maybe she used contacts? To be honest, Stampy thought she looked cute with glasses. But then Stacy turned ninety degrees (exactly ninety degrees) and saw Stampy sitting on the couch.

All it took was one swift motion for Stacy to take the glasses off and put it back into the box. "You're dreaming!" She said aloud.

Stampy scoffed, "Nice try Stacy. But I won't fall for that a fourth time!"

"Dang." She muttered.

Stampy got up and walked over to her, but she rushed into another room trying to get away from him. But Stampy followed, it was like tag but with speed walking. He was surprised that Stacy didn't just kick him out, this was her house. Instead, she just gave up and sat on the couch, to which Stampy sat next to her and once again a cat walked up to him and jumped onto his lap.

"I don't want to yell at you, and I don't want to make you feel bad. You know you can just leave right?" Stacy said

"I know. I just wanted to hang out, you could've told me to come back another time if this wasn't a good time." Stampy pointed out.

"Yeah I knew that, but I really wanted to hang out with you too today. Now it's just awkward." She sighed.

Stampy cocked his head to one side. "Awkward how?"

"My glasses, I guess you can say I'm insecure about it. You're actually the only person besides my pets who've seen me wear them," She explained, "then again I'm insecure about a lot of things." Romance is the first thing that came up into her mind.

"Well, I think you look cute when you wear your glasses." Stampy complimented.

Stacy rolled her eyes. "You compliment everything, Stampy."

"But I mean it! You look really cute when you wear your glasses. Come on put them on, please... pawease?" Stampy begged. The animal pun wasn't intentional but it made her crack a smile.

Without saying anything Stacy reached into her pocket again and took out her glasses case, opened it and took out her glasses. She just held them in her hands for a moment then put them on. They mustn't have been really heavy prescription glasses because if she wore contacts she would've have needed to take them out of her eyes first.
(I don't even wear glasses, how do I know this?)

Stampy stared at her for a moment, causing Stacy to blush and look away. "This was a bad idea." She said and went to take them off.

But Stampy stopped her. "No! I mean don't. I'm being serious they look good on you, almost natural."

"You're just saying that because you like me," Stacy said.

"Well... how did you know!" Stampy asked, completely shocked.

"Isn't it obvious? You wear a bow tie when we hang out, you think I look cute in glasses, and because we hang out all the time." She explained.

Stampy sat quietly for a moment and looked at the cat on his lap. Then he heard Stacy say something. "Well, I guess a part of me likes you too," she admitted, "I guess a part of me always liked you, I mean think about it. I like hanging out with you, talking with you, and we get along well. Nothing except me being so insecure is really holding us back."

That was what Stampy always wanted to hear... okay maybe not that exactly but something like that. "Maybe we can go on a date or something? Just the two of us? Maybe make a plan to keep Dan and Lizzie away?" Stampy suggested.

Stacy looked back at him and smiled. "Yeah, that sounds nice."

The End?
