Chapter-35
Adam (Jamie)
"So this is where you disappear to this morning" said the voice of none other than my beloved mate "and left me fend the monsters alone"
"Well there's yours too" I said without looking at him and kept on doing the push ups.
"yeah" Logan say now standing in front of me "but, still I love to kiss their daddy first thing in the morning"
"oh, so you are here to get just kiss then" I said standing up to face him
"Well that's the start" Logan said circling my waist "what more can you offer?" leaning in to claim his kiss.
"Get a room you too" said the voice from the door making us jump away from each other with the scowling Logan, "or better prepare for the war that's brewing at your doorstep, besides there is always time to hit the sheets."
"Iris, has anyone told you that you need a filter for that mouth of yours" I replied frustrated.
"Many has, many will" Iris replied cheekily "now time to pucker up Adam , we need to form a game plan of our own"
"Haven't we already?" Logan asked confused
"Oh lover boy," Iris chuckled, "you have a lot to learn but, it's not the time, maybe next time."
"Don't call me that?" Logan said reefing to the name
"ok you too" I said playing the role of the mediator before the matter become heated "Logan why don't you see the what the Alpha king and his army doing, while I practice with Iris and Andrea .." who is standing quietly in corner of the room "and when I'm done I'll come and find you"
"Fine" with a small peck on my cheek and glare directed at Iris, Logan went to see the guest in his territory and here I'm stuck with this cheeky grunt, but he is a useful cheeky grunt.
"so shall we" I said gesturing Andrea to come
"oh we shall" Iris said, with the closed gym door we started to join our powers, which is the only hope to win against Veronica.
After two hours, we three were exhausted would be an understatement. We were through all our energy but, we know it's not enough when the grim reaper herself knocks at your front door, we have to do all it takes, by hook or crook.
I was breathing hard so was Andrea but, Iris was miles away from us "What are you thinking Iris?" asked me
"you are not using your full potential Jamie" Iris pointed out
"and you must know why too" I retorted back, not denying his acquisition.
"this situation is different than what happened years ago" Iris happen to be the voice of reason "and you should remember what happened years ago was accident, you didn't know the length of your powers but, now you do"
"no Iris" I replied as calmly as I can "I still don't, and you must remember if I or even Andrea lose control, there no measure of consequences and you alone cannot mend all the repercussions"
