"No, nope, no, UGH" you think as you swipe through Tinder. This probably wasn't the best idea considering you're on vacation with your friends but hey why not look at the exotic people of Tinder. "You're way to picky so the fact you're even looking is beyond me" said Y/F/N. "Shut the fuck up" you reply trying not to be too loud since you were at a train station. You realize that your friend is kinda right, so you put your phone away and go back to mingling with the rest of the group. As you all start talking your friend taps you on the shoulder and points over to a group of men around your age all waiting, hopefully, for the same train. "Maybe I should reconsider online dating if those are the kind of guys I might get" Y/F/N whispers to you causing you to giggle at the slight desperation she/he gained in her/his voice. Your small outburst caught the attention of not only everyone in your group but some of the guys in the group your friend and you have now started to gawk over. Although they were all attractive there was one that caught your eye but for some reason, he had a medieval looking helmet along with his suit case. You didn't think much of it and before you could realize he was admiring you your train arrived. You found seats quickly and immediately got comfortable put earbuds in and checked your twitter. Once you finally look up from your phone you realize the handsome stranger from before is sitting across from you along with another member of his group even though there were plenty of seats for everyone he was with. You hop back on Tinder just swiping through to see who you could and just like before, nothing. If you saw the bio "I'm looking for a good time not a long time" again you knew you'd chuck your phone across the train. As you were about to call it quits the handsome man across from you pops up. You look up making sure that it was him and as you do, he quickly looks back down at his phone obviously staring at you before and not wanting to make it weird between the two of you before he even caught up the nerve to talk to you. As you look from your phone to the man across from you it's confirmed it's him, the only difference is he now has a goofy smile plastered across his face as his friend teases him about god knows what. You finally bite the bullet as butterflies fill your stomach rapidly, you right swipe. You get the notification instantly that you have a new match and it was him and now you debate on if you should be the one to message him first. Before you can decide a notification dinged on your phone. "I would've just had a conversation with you but if my friend keeps messing with me about you, I might have to kick his ass". You laugh at the message and realize that you were the topic of conversation before, a blush growing on your face realizing you had been the source of that goofy grin on his face earlier. You text back and forth, both of you smiling like idiots getting looks from the people in your group wondering how you're laughing and smiling so much while not saying a word to anyone. As you continue the conversation his friend gets up and walks over to two girls on the train. You lower your music a bit and hear that their group has been on the wrong train this entire time. Looking over you see your new travel companion has heard the same thing and just throws his head back in awe of how stupid his friend is causing you to laugh. The man, who you have now found out is named Eric, smiles as his head is still back the minute he hears your laugh. It's music to his ears. As him and his friend are about to get off the train you look up making eye contact with him. He gives you a wink as you get a notification saying he had a lot of fun talking to you and you should continue doing so with a phone number attached.
