Chapter 8: a party of the ages

I went to meet carter and Blake on Saturday in the park we all sat down on the old swings. "So you two guess what their is gonna be a blood moon ball and vampires are inviting humans to join them I'm to hand out inavations to people so" I held up two invitations out to them. "I want you two to come I know you both own tuxes" I smiled and felt them take them slowly. "What's wring I ask as I see there faces. "Well we don't think it would be a good idea to go to a place full of vampires" not gonna lie it kinda hurt me hearing that. "Well think about it ok you have a few days till the ball" they nodded and we went our separate ways. The days past and I heard nothing from my friends and my mother was to come and see father and I was nervous as I started to get ready and looked at the dress a female vampire maid helped me pick out.  I sighed and put it on and looked into the mirror and I grabbed my eyepatch putting it on and looking in the mirror again taking a deep breath. There was a knock on the door "young mistress the guests have arrived and it's a big night for us vampires so shall we eat you down to everyone". I slowly opened the door "thank you Edward" I stepped from my room "you look lovely my lady" I looked at him "thank you now I have a party to get to". I walked down the stairs and when vampires saw me at the top of the grand stair case they clapped humans looked up my mother clapped and from what I could see carters heart had skipped a beat as I walked down the steps towards everyone. Not gonna lie I'm so nervous I thought I'd fall down the stairs. I made it down the stairs as the night went on and I danced with carter mother got to talk to father the night was amazing but I felt something a little darker coming to the surface. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard "hey KitKat you've danced with carter may I have the last dance". I smiled taking Blake's hand "sure you can" and with that we danced around it reminded me of when we were kids and I taught him the waltz. I didn't want this night to end but it had too as guests left I said goodbye to them.
