"do i have to?" lucas says, not wanting to step in the building.

"yes lucas, you have too."

"no one in there really understands what's going on in my mind."

"you wouldn't know that if you didn't go in there and see now would you?"

lucas sighs, completely dreading the whole idea of a support group. now that he was actually parked in front of the building, he dreaded it even more. simply questioning himself, 'why me?' he hated this. he wanted to just go back home and wrap himself under his quilt. sleeping is such an amazing escape.

without anymore arguments, lucas bid his goodbye to his mother and walked into the tall building. only one floor was being used for the support group. it was said that the upper floors are homes for people that suffer with mental illnesses. but lucas would just think about it as a psych ward or something like that.

he walks up to the front desk, his face remained straight and his voice was low. "um, i am here for the support group with junmyeon kim or something like that. what floor is that?"

"oh yes, that is located on the third floor. once you get up there you'll see several rooms, but room 315 is mr.kim's where the support group is being held. welcome!" the lady gives a sweet smile.

lucas just nods and mumbles a rushed 'thanks' before proceeding. he already hated this "support group" thing already when he has yet to even experience what it is like. he just didn't like the idea of it, he didn't see how some random group of people his age and older could help him. but, that's what his therapist and mother continues to say and he really has no choice at this point.

"just one more year." he whispers to himself.

just one more year until he turns 18 years old and can make his own decisions and do as he pleases. just the thought of that sounded amazing to him. he was sick of listening to his mother's rules, although he knew her intentions were always good.

he heard a ding sound, which took over his thoughts. he immediately looked up to see that the elevator has arrived, he stepped inside seeing two guys smiling politely at him before exiting. he didn't smile back though, because he wasn't a friendly person and didn't like to smile for no reason at all. lucas always felt that there was nothing to smile about in life, and two strangers is definitely not a reason to.

he pressed the number 3, and watched as it lit up indicating that he clicked on it. the elevator ride was short as it was just to the third floor. he could've took the steps, but why when there was a perfectly fine working elevator? elevators are meant to be used anyway. steps are too but that was always optional for lucas.

finally reaching room 315, he took a deep breathe before using his long legs to walk inside. there was a circle of boys sitting there, their eyes on lucas, immediately making him uncomfortable. all of their eyes lingering on him as he walked in further, except this one blue haired boy. it seemed like he was more interested in fiddling with his fingers, which was okay to lucas because that was one less person looking at him.

"hello, welcome to my support group. i am junmyeon kim, but you can just call me suho. what's your name?" he asks, a bright smile beaming on his face.

"i'm lucas."

"woah, he has the deepest voice i've ever heard!" a brown haired boy said, his voice was the most high-pitched voice lucas has ever heard, but he of course isn't gonna say that out loud. he instead just shoots a glare over his way and then quickly looks back at suho.

"haechan that is not a nice way to greet our new fellow friend."

lucas scrunches up his eyebrows at the term friend, lucas has no friends, so he was confused.
