Losing the Luster of Life

The Simple Things

I was having a pretty bad day,

But then you said, "Hello.",

I said, "Hi.",

And you said to me, "Why do you look so low?",

"Oh, nothing," I replied,

You said to me, "Well, I can change that!",

You picked me up,

Spun me around,

Gave me a hug and set me down,

You asked me, "Feel better?"

And I said, "Yes.",

This is the reason why we're best friends,

These are the simple things in life.
