AFAB - Assigned female at birth.

AMAB - Assigned male at birth.

Androgynous - Having qualities or appearance traditionally associated with both or neither men or women.

Binder - A piece of clothing used to bind the chest, making it appear flat.

Breast Forms - Something used to put under a bra, making the chest appear larger.

Estrogen/E - This is a product commonly used with MTFs (Male to Female), it can help add female traits, such as making the body curvier and lightening the voice.

Feminine - Having qualities or appearance traditionally associated with women.

FTM - Female to male.

Gender Dysphoria - While being vastly different for each individual that experiences it, it's generally a disconnection, discomfort, or anxiety associated with one's assigned gender, birth genitals, etc.

Gender Expression - A way of expressing gender through clothing, style, and other things of that sort. It is not dependent on gender identity.

Gender Identity - How someone identifies in terms of gender. (Ex. Man, Woman, Non-Binary, Genderfluid.)

Gender Transition - This is a point where a transgender starts to transition from their assigned gender to what gender is more comforting to them, this may include (but is not limited to) using different pronouns (he/him, they/them, she/her), dressing differently, and going by a different name.

Genderqueer - It can either be used as an umbrella term for identities that are not entirely out of the male or female spectrum, or as an identity itself.

HRT/Hormone Replacement Therapy - Hormone therapy which in the trans community helps trans-people better transition into their gender identity by going on estrogen  or testosterone.

Intersex - A person whose reproductive anatomy or genes don't match with female or male entirely.

Masculine - Having qualities or appearance traditionally associated with men.

MTF - Male to female.

Non-Binary - Commonly used as an umbrella term for genders outside of female and male.

Packer - A packer is a piece of padding or phallic object used in the front of underwear to give off the appearance of a bulge. Some packers called STP (Stand To Pee) enables the user to stand up while using the bathroom.

Pronouns - Words used to refer to someone in the third person. Ex. She/Her, He/Him, They/Them

Testosterone/T - This is a product used commonly with FTM's (Female to Male), it can help add male traits, such as adding shape to the body (muscles) and deeping a voice.

Top Surgery - A surgery done on one's chest to either add or remove breasts.

Transfeminine - Term used to describe one who transitions from their gender assigned at birth to a more feminine gender.

Transgender - A person whose gender does not align with their gender assigned at birth.

Transmasculine - Term used to describe one who transitions from their gender assigned at birth to a more masculine gender.

Tucking - This method is used to get rid of the appearance of a bulge.
