Four months have gone, it's been a quick ride. Steadily getting on my feet, making my way in societies thick walls. Although the job is.. dirty, it pays well. Freedom quickly overruled all the saddest ones crawling in my skin. Being told that your smile shall stand would be helpful, for someone who's not me.

Staring at the clock on the wall, I pray that I can go home and sleep. "Hello welcome to *insert fast food establishment*, how may I take your order?" The lady currently ordering rapid speed says her order, my small brain couldn't catch it all. "Um—m'am can you please say that again?" The women grunts loudly, then repeats what she said...but faster.

I began to grow irritated. I ask one last time if she can repeat it but before I can finish my question the women lashes out. The strings of constant slurs left me disoriented, the slurs that came around most were slow and faggot. I scrunch my nose up and adjusted the pin on my uniform. Under the name tag on my vest there was a rainbow flag pin I bought for Alex and I.

The lady started to bore and annoy the living hell out of me as she continued. Soon I get in the mist of yelling, with that the manager comes out. Before I can say anything to redeem myself, then manager pulls me into his office. "Mr.—uh Sir! I'm so sorry, mm--" My mind went blank as the manager had fired me. Soon after firing me he tells me to call him later as 'he wanted to go on a date with me' or 'if I wanna get down with him.' He passes a check with an extra $100 in it.

I flip him off and left from the back door. My 9th job I got fired from in a month. I look up into the sky as the clouds over shadow the sun, little droplets of rain hit my face while I walk back to the flat. I sigh loudly while griping tightly to my messenger bag, not bothering to get me umbrella. I stifle a laugh saying "It'll get better, right?"
