Ivy and Asher rejoined us and she immediately pulled me aside with a smirk. Rhett took Huntleigh from my arms and I smiled as she slid into his hold with ease. She was completely relaxed with him and I felt my heart stutter at the sight of the two of them together as Asher entertained her from behind Rhett's shoulder. Her giggle carried down the hall, following us like a melody I never wanted to stop.
Ivy pulled me down the hallway and into her room, closing the door behind us. "Let's get you ready to present you to the pack then." She said with a smile.
I blushed and looked down at my jeans and plain top. She was right. I needed some sprucing up to say the least. She sat me down at her vanity and turned me around to face her, methodically applying makeup to my face as she hummed. She ran her fingers through my natural waves and pinned a few pieces loosely back and away from my face, letting my curls cascade over my shoulders and down my back as a few stray pieces fell down, framing my face.
"Ok. Time for the dress. Don't peak!" she said cheerfully and I chuckled as she walked over to the closet, unzipping the garment bag hanging over the door.
"Oh Ivy...it's too much. I can't wear this." I said as my eyes fell over the gorgeous full length white dress. It was covered with beautiful embroidery and as I slipped it on, it fit my perfectly, draping from my hips as it pooled to the floor at my feet.
"It's perfect. And you will." She said with a look of determination followed by a wink. She stepped back, leaving me barefoot as she smiled, her hand resting against her chest as she sighed. "You look incredible Lili. Like a true Luna."
I turned to finally face the mirror and my jaw dropped slightly at the sight of me. She'd done my makeup in natural tones, but in a way that made my features enhance more than I'd even thought possible. My eyes popped beautifully and she'd chiseled my cheekbones and softened my face with a dewy glow, finishing it off with a natural pouty glossed lip.
My hands ran over the dress and I smiled up at her. It was an off shoulder gown with two modest straps to secure at my shoulders. It had a large draped ruffle sleeve that fell down around my elbows and draped to meet the very low back dipping down at the back of my waist, showing my tattoos perfectly. It was gorgeous to say the least.
"I believe your Alpha is ready." She said with a smile spreading across her lips.
I stepped out of the room, the sound of my bare feet padding down the hallway as I came to the living room. My breath hitched as my gaze fell on Rhett, standing alone in the living room with his arms crossed across his front, holding one hand over the other as he stared down at the floor. He heard me and his head popped up, his smile growing wide across his face as he let out a breath.
"You look...absolutely stunning. My Luna." He said as I slowly closed the distance between us.
He wore a dark grey shirt with a dark button down, making his already gorgeous features pop even more, and his suit fit him like a second skin, hinting at the rippling corded muscle hiding beneath.
I smirked up at him as my brow rose. "You look rather handsome yourself, my Alpha."
He wrapped his arms around me, pulling me closer as my hands rested against his chest, playing with his open collar. His fingers felt my exposed back and he smirked, letting out a quiet growl as he leaned in. His fingers trailed slowly up my bare spine, sending a shiver through my body, his nose brushing against my neck as he placed a light kiss on my mark. I gasped and he chuckled lowly.
"If we didn't literally have a pack of wolves waiting for us this very moment, I'd have to take you home right now with the way you look in this dress." His voice was husky as his lips brushed against the shell of my ear.
I giggled and pushed myself closer, leaving no separation between our bodies as I pushed up on my toes to whisper in his ear. "Then I guess you'll just have to hold on to that thought then won't you?"
He gave me another satisfied growl and pulled back slightly, wrapping his large hand around my neck and pulling me into a deep kiss. I could feel his hunger, love, and devotion radiating from him and I smiled against his lips.
"I love you." I pushed into his mind.
"If only there were stronger words for me to tell you just how much I feel for you." He responded.
I let the bliss and content fill me as we broke the kiss. The feel of his arms around me could keep me away in our own universe for as long as he'd let it, but it was time to start our lives together.
Finally.
Ivy, Asher and Huntleigh rejoined us and we made our way to the pack house. I'd tried to compose myself, letting Rhett's intertwined hand in mine ground me as Huntleigh gripped on to my free hand. We entered the house and I was immediately struck by a floral scent wafting through the air as it hit my nose. Was it honeysuckle?
I looked up to see Rhett smiling down at me as his eyes swirled darker, filling with emotion. I could feel his happiness pushing through the bond mixed with devotion and pride. "They did it for you." He said, his voice low and smooth as he pulled me to a stop in front of the thick double doors. His thumb stroked my cheek as his fingers pressed against my jaw, tugging my chin up to meet his lips. "Are you ready?" He asked as he pulled away.
I gave him a slow nod as I choked back a tear threatening to escape. My throat tightened and I couldn't get my words to leave my mouth, but I knew he could feel what I was. I'd never had anyone do something so incredible for me, and now not only Rhett, Ivy, and Asher, but the whole pack had devoted their night, just for me. Just to show that they accepted me. To show me that they loved me.
