Chapter 7: Your Friend is an Asshole

Connor's POV:

Kailey and I were having a wonderful time but we kept getting interrupted by phone calls about Ricky. I am sorry but I have waited for this date for 6 years and I am not about to stop it now.

We finally get to take our pictures in the photo boot. In the first one we do smirks, she is so cute. In the second one we do our cheesiest smiles. She is so perfect. The third one we do a normal one and in the last one I surprise her with a kiss on the check. She looks at me confused.

"You knew this was a date, right?"

She looks down and nods.

"Did I do something?"

"Connor......I have never been kissed." After she says that she walks out of the photo booth and runs to an Uber. I run after her but it's too late she has already gotten I the Uber.

I run back inside grab the photos and run to Kian's car. I speed to her house and I beat her there. I park, get out and walk to the porch. I sit in the couch swing and wait for Kailey to get back.

I wait for two hours..... Where could she be?

Kailey's POV:

After I ran out of the movie theater and got in the Uber, I call Isabel. I am crying. It rings two times then I hear her wonderful voice.

"Kailey? It's eleven o'clock at night..." She stops...she probably heard me crying.

"He knows...."

"Kailey.....it's ok that he knows....it's a good thing. Trust me it is. Ok?"

"Ok......I am gonna go to his house and wait for him to come home... I love you , Is."

"Good idea and I love you, too, Kay."

I hang up and give the Uber driver Connor's address. I sit on the porch and wait. I wait for two hours...then I fall asleep on his porch swing.

I wake up to a loud sound. To my surprise it's.....

Kailey's POV:

To my surprise it's the sound of a slamming door. It's Cat......Connor's ex. I jump into the bushes. I want to remain unseen.

She steps up to the door and pounds on the door...."WHO WERE YOU WITH AT THE MOVIES? I SAW THE TWEET!" In my head I say 'Tweet?' "WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE GETTING BACK TOGETHER!" 'What? He....they are getting back together.'

She finds the spare key and let's herself in....I get in an Uber and head home.

When I get to my house I see a sleeping Connor on my porch. I shake him..."Get up!"

He wakes up and says, "I was waiting for you....when did you get here."

"Get up and get out!"

"Bu..."

I cut him off, "Get out.....I never want to see your face again." With that I go in my house and slam the door shut.

I go to my room and erase every memory tonight and I try to forget....but it's so hard.

Trevor's POV:

What a great Valentines day with the perfect girl, Gabbie. She is the definition of perfection. I take her to a nice restaurant, then on the Ferris Wheel.

When I get home I hear crying coming from Kailey's room. I run upstairs and go to her room and knock. "Kay....it's Trev."

"It's unlocked."

I walk in and go sit by her on her bed. "What's wrong?"

"Your friend is an asshole."

"Which one?"

"Con.."

I interrupt her, "CONNOR?! What are you doing with Connor?"

She shakes her head and says, "Nothing anymore..."

"Kay...you know you can tell me anything right?"

She nods but I know she won't tell me because of how I just reacted to his name. I am so stupid sometimes.
