Sure enough, for the next two weeks, Oikawa found any and every excuse to drage me away and leave Rinka and Iwaizumi alone.

Whenever the two would begin talking to one another, the brunette would mercilessly ram his elbow into my arm.

I was getting annoyed with his antics.

"Anzu! Let's go to the vending machine~!" he cheered during lunch, standing with his hardly touched lunch. His sudden exclimation was caused by Iwaizumi sitting down next to Rinka.

It would have been more important if that wasn't the only seat available.

"Oikawa, sit down and eat," Rinka comanded.

With a pout and a heavy sigh, he plopped back down onto the seat. The three of us shot him a look before returning to our own meals.

He let out a large sigh.

"What is it, Oikawa?" I said, giving in to avoid a putting setter.

He shook his head. "It's nothing. I really was craving a drink from the vending machine though, honest!"

I knew it was a lie thanks to the not so secret puppy eyes he was trying to throw around. Even so, I wasn't really in the best of moods to deal with him.

"What were you craving?" I asked, picking at my lunch.

His eyes widened slightly. "Uh, just some coffee."

With a shake of my head I stood up. "You don't want canned coffee. I'll be right back."

Without another word or warning, I hurried out of the room. I could feel their eyes on my back as I scurried away. There was nothing that I wanted more at the moment than to have some time alone.

Silent and peaceful.

Befriending the popular setter had ruined that daily constant in my life. Yet, I was still glad that we had made up after the accident with his knee.

The courtyard was quiet as I slowly dropped the coins into the machine. With a light thud, I bent over and grabbed the cool can of orange juice. Despite his numerous buys, Oikawa wasn't a big fan of the vending machine items.

I felt proud that I knew that fact.

"Anzu, are you okay?" I wasn't surprised that he had followed me, but the quiet tine of voice was odd.

I turned around and handed over his can. Despite telling him almost daily that I wanted him to be quiet, I found that my mouth seemed to be locked shut. I repeated the words in my head as we walked towards a bench, but they refused to form in my throat.

We sat in silence for the rest of the lunch hour, and I was glad. Leaning against the wall with my head tilted back and eyes closed was refreshing.

Oikawa said nothing as he stood and waited for me to do the same. Suddenly, I was worried if I had offended him in some way. We had all insulted the boy before, but if he was truly insutled, I wasn't sure how he would react.

As we drew closer to my classroom, I sucked in a breath and forced the words to leave my mouth.

"Thank you, and I'm sorry," I quickly said before ducking into my class. As I left, I saw the dumbfounded expression on his face. It seemed both of us were rather confused at the time.

I counted my blessings when the teacher announced that he would be covering for the other teachers, but didn't feel too well himself and the rest of the day would be a study hall. Quite a few of my classmates groaned when he passed out the assignments.

Easily loosing myself in the words and problems, I strived to finish as much as possible before we packed up and I left for the gym.

"Anzu-chan!" Oikawa burst in blubbering at the end of the day. "You can't let this be the end! We'll support you through whatever it is!"

He grabbed my hands and held them up, staring into my eyes with his dark, tear lined ones.

"What?" I slowly asked, unsure of what was going on.

"Idiot," Iwaizumi sighed, standing in the doorway.

"So you're not planning-?" he mumbled, watching me.

"I'm not planning anything other than you death," I growled, over and done with whatever worry I had for the boy earlier.

He flinched and backed up.

Rinka let out a sigh as she suddenly popped up next to Iwaizumi. The two shared a look, leaving Oikawa to look at me in confusion.

"We were going to tell you at lunch, but that failed," she quickly began, looking away from the taller male. He rolled his eyes and lightly groaned. "We're dating."

My eyes widened. I had expected it, but her blunt way of delivering the news had shocked me. She wasn't normally this up front about such matters. My lips tugged up into a small smile. Iwaizumi had a good effect on her.

"You what!?"

I droppes my head onto my desk with a loud thump. It was still hard to believe how idiotic he would get at times. Sitting back up, I eyed the setter from the corner of my eye.

There was something very off about him lately.
