Earthquake

Markiplier slowly blinks his eyes open. He's on the floor of the manor. He slowly sits up and rubs his head. Glancing to his left, he sees Jacksepticeye sitting up as well. Jack looks around at everyone else around him, laying unconscious. What happened last night? Mark shakes his head as the memories flood back.

The earthquake. The worst he had ever seen. Everyone's fearful screams rang in his ears. Jack glances to the right. The camera is knocked over, and some things on the tables had been knocked to the ground. The ornaments on the mantle are in the floor as well, some of them shattered.

Mat lays across the couch, with Nate collapsed on his legs and stomach. An awkward position that neither of them would have chosen willingly. A few others lay on top of each other, but not in comfortable positions. It's like they've been thrown there. DanTDM is pinned under a lamp that had fallen.

"Must have been a bad one," Mark commented.

"Does this happen often?" Jack asked, rising to his feet.

Mark hesitated before answering quietly, "Not like this."

Jack turns his attention to the others lying around him. "Should we call an ambulance?"

"If it was that bad in here, no emergency crews will be able to get through the forest right now," Mark answers.

Just then, Amy stirs. Mark rushes to her. "Amy?"

She blinks her eyes open. "What's going on?" She asks.

Before Mark can answer, Phil wakes up. When Daniel sits up shortly after, Mark and Jack decide to wait for the rest, before giving an explanation.

Mat moves a little, causing Nate to wake up at the same time. "Ahh!" They both yelled as they split.

"What happened?!" Nate asks.

One by one, the others wake. Some are helped awake, while others do it on their own. Within minutes, all twenty-six YouTubers are conscious and well.

"There seems to have been some sort of earthquake," Mark begins. "I'm going to be honest, I haven't seen one this bad here in awhile."

"Has any major damage been done?" Ethan questions.

Mark looks at Jack, who continues, "We don't know yet. I think we should split up, in pairs mind you, and look around. That way, we can find out the extent of the damage."

"Ooohhh! Can I take the BTS camera?" Pam asks eagerly. "That way, I might catch something spooky."

"Spooky?" Phil repeats, nervously.

"Oh boy," Daniel rolls his eyes.

"There's nothing spooky going on here," Mark puts in quickly. "We're just trying to see what happened. But yes, if you want to document the damage, then go right ahead."

That being said, the big group splits off into multiple, smaller groups. Pam and Amy go together, as for Tyler and Ethan. Nate goes with Cristina, Mat goes with Ken, and Dan with Thomas. Pentatonix also split, Matt and Kevin in one group, and Scott, Mitch, and Kirstie in the other.

Due to a recent breakup, Signe joins with Liza, and Jack with Mark. Daniel and Phil also pair up, as do Rhett and Link, as well as Felix and Marzia. Bob and Wade also partner.

Pam's socks squeak on the white tile floor as she and Amy begin investigating the lobby.

"And here we are, looking around to see what else the nasty earthquake did," Pam says to the camera. She points it to Amy. "Anything you want to say?"

"Something spoopy is going on I think, but Mark doesn't think so," Amy says.

"If there's nothing spooky, hope do you explain this?!" Pam pulls open the door to the coat closet, revealing the coats and shoes that had toppled to the ground.

"He'd day it was the earthquake but that's ridiculous." Any looks at her friend and the two burst into laughter.

"What do you think is up here?" Wade asks Bob.

"I would think that everything's the same, except maybe a bit messier," Bob answers.

They finally make it to the top of the staircase. They're taking half of the West Wing of the manor, which includes quite a few of the bedrooms.

"Wouldn't it be weird that we're going to be going into everyone else's rooms?" Wade questions.

"We're not going through everyone's things, we're just checking to see that everything's okay," Bob responds patiently.

"Yeah, I guess that makes sense," Wade says.

They peek into the first bedroom: Pam and Liza's. They gape at the damage. A large mirror has been knocked over and shattered. Shards of glass are scattered across the floor.

A makeup kit has tumbled from the dresser to the floor. Eyeshadow and powdered foundation is everywhere. A small table lamp is broken as well, and a nightstand is tipped over.

"You think all the rooms are like this?" It's Bob's turn to ask.

"I-I don't know," Wade answers. "I guess there's only one way to find out."

"I wouldn't have invited her if I had known," Mark says in regards to Signe.

"It's fine, really," Jack answers. "We kept it quiet for a while, and by the time we announced it, plans for both of us to come here were already set. You couldn't uninvite her, just cause it might get awkward."

"Still," Mark says.

He opens the large doors leading to the property behind the house. The two enter the chilly morning. Dew sparkles in the grass and the rising sun casts a bright shine on the pool.

"Huh," Mark says.

"That's a little weird," Jack adds.
