Faye gets on the train with her head in the clouds. As much as she wants to keep having this warm fuzzy feeling in her chest, she knows that it has to reach an end point somewhere in the future.

The truth is she still finds everything that has happened to be unbelievable. She is just same-old, ordinary, wallflower Faye yet this blue-eyed Brit seems almost infatuated with her. It is unacceptable to jump into conclusions and make baseless assumptions but there is something in the way Errol's eyes fix on her that makes her feel as if she is the only one he sees.

Shaking her head, she tries to get rid of this indescribable sensation in her whole being. If she were to be truthful to herself, she would say that she would be quite delighted if he ended up falling for her. However, this is reality and men like him do not fall for women like her.

Her mom does not ask for any details on her arrival. This is because she lied about where and who she went out with. She just said that she was having dinner with Elena and they might stay out until late. She hates lying to her mother, especially about things like this. However, she does not want her to ask any questions about Errol.

She slumps on her bed, her mobile phone on her hand. She looks at it and sees the blinking green light on its upper left-hand corner. She turns on the screen and finds a Whatsapp message. She unlocks her phone and sees that the message is from Errol.

'I had fun tonight, Faye.' the message says.

'Me too.' She replies.

A few seconds later, she sees another notification on her screen and finds a smiling emoji from him. She does not reply to this, thinking that it was his way of ending the short exchange. However, a couple of minutes later she receives another message from him.

'What are you doing this weekend?' He asks.

'Catch up on sleep.' she answers shortly after.

'Can I call you?'

Faye nearly drops her phone on her face at that. She immediately sits up on her bed, unsure of what to do next. It has also been a while since her last phone conversation with a man other than for business.

'Tonight's not good for me.' She types and sends.

'I like the sound of your voice.'

She feels her face heat up from his short messages. She does not easily let herself get affected by such words, but, boy, it has really been a long time.

'I sound like a kid. It's annoying.' She replies.

'Are you fishing for more compliments, Faye?'

Faye can almost hear his teasing voice just by reading his messages. She continues to convince herself that she is just trying to lure her into something she is bound to regret. At last, she succeeds when she tells him that she is sleepy and that she wants to sleep.

'Goodnight, Faye.'

'Goodnight, Errol.'

Finally, she slides her phone next to her pillow. Lost in her thoughts, she stares at the orange light bulb over her bed. She decides that she will avoid exchanging messages with him over the weekend. In fact, she will cancel their plan on Monday!

'This will not do...'

She falls asleep.
