School the next day went by in a breeze. I worked on past assignments, and Wei wasn't there to distract me. It shocked me, he may not have been the student type, but he still always showed up to class. He might sleep during lesson time, but at least he was there.

Most of the students were like him. Other than the couple who actually complete their work and pass their exams. They all just slept on it. When you think about it, Class 2-A is a disaster, and the problem isn't talking, it's snoring.

I returned home that day to an empty house. Nobody was there to greet me, other than the mat at the front door. It didn't worry me though, my mother was probably at work, working her butt off to get the money to pay back my hospital bill. I felt bad that I couldn't do anything to help, but we have plenty of money either way.

The moon's reflection was mirroring off the ocean, sometimes rippling when there was a wave. This whole situation would have been a lot better if he wasn't here with me.

"Come on! This is the stupidest show I have ever watched in my life!" I scream angrily at the television in front of me.

What's the best way to spend your time home alone?

Watching TV louder than you usually would and not being yelled at for doing so.

The idea of it seems stupid. Most kids would be hosting a party or making a mess of the place, but not me. I find joy in laziness, and being free to sprawl out on a sofa, taking up more than one cushion.

Then I remember about my current state.

I could die like this, and nobody wants to die like that, so I decided to go out.

And that's how I got into the situation I'm in.
Chasing after a stupid boy who finds joy in annoying the absolute crap out of me.

Wei.

"Don't do that!"

"Get off of the rocks! You're gonna slip!"

"Put me down you idiot!"

"You're gonna get a cold if you stay in the water any longer!"

I thought that a nice, peaceful walk on the beach would just mean a checkmark on my bucket list, but it turned out to be so much more.

At first, I just thought that he was here to annoy me, but that wasn't it. He really is just a child in a 17 year old's body, he just wanted to play around, and I hate to admit it, but he made me feel something I haven't felt in a long time: Happy.

But sadly, now he was back to being a burden.

"Stop following me," I say, not looking over at him. "You're house is the other way if I remember correctly."

"Come on Xiuying, I don't want to go home tonight!" He whines.

My eyes widen and I feel my face grow hot. He really needs to watch what he's going to say before he says it.

"Don't say stuff like that, it could be taken the wrong way."

"What way do you mean, babe?"
