Marinette's POV.

The social worker walked through the door, looking professional, black pencil skirt, suit, face caked with makeup and hair pulled into a tight ponytail. Her high heels clicked on the tile as she approached. "Hello Mrs, Ms and Mr Dupain-Chang. My name is Wanda."

After my parents greeted Wanda and made everyone tea, we sat down and began to talk. "Marinette, I have heard you are unto fashion no?"

"Yes ma'am."

"An owner of a designing company has requested you."

"To adopt me?"

"Yes, he has a son your age."

"Marinette, does that sound ok?" Sabine asked. "Ma mére. It sounds amazing! I might just learn some things!"

My parents exchanged looks. "Ok." They said in unison.

Adrien's POV.

Nathalie knocked on my door. "Your father wants to see you, Adrein." I walked through the winding corridors of my house. Until I reached my fathers office. I opened the door and stepped inside. "Adrien, do you know a girl who goes by: Marinette Dupain-Chang?"

"Yes father. She is in my class. She is very good at designing and creating. She is kind to everyone and one of my friends."

"She was just placed in the adoption system. And I have adopted her. For you and so she can help me, with the company."

"Thank you father!"

"Please go and prepare a bedroom for her."

I walked down the hallway, plagg flying around my head. "You know, it's harder to keep a secret identity with someone else around." Plagg whisper-yelled. I ignored him, telling myself that I would find a way to make it work later. I stepped into the spare upstairs bedroom. "Let's rumble."

Marinette's POV.

I was in my parents arms, hugging them goodbye before they left. Reluctantly, I realised them and wiped a tear from under my eye. They smiled and stride onto the plane. The social worker placed her hand on my shoulder. "Marinette, it's time to go." I was numb, knowing that it would be a year before I was to see my parents again. But I nodded and showed a small smile.

We walked out to the car, a small, black BMW. I slid into the back seat and watched my parents and the airport slowly get smaller and smaller. I rested my head on my hand and decided that I should get some sleep before we arrive. I woke up to the social worker shaking my shoulder.

"Marinette, we are almost there." I nodded sleepily and noticed that we were in a familiar part of Paris. The car slowed to a stop. Gorilla opened my door as I stepped out and gasped. This was Adrien Agreste's house.
