Adrien's POV.

She slowly looked up to my face and gasped. Her face went as white as a sheet and her eyes unfocused on me. "Mari? Are you ok?" She suddenly fell backwards and fainted. Luckily I caught her head inches from reaching the ground. "My lady? Mari? Can you hear me?" Her face remained porcelain. I lifted her into my arms and began to run. I vaulted is across Paris towards our house.

I slipped in through my open window and tip-toed down the hallway towards her room and placed her down on her bed. "Plagg, claws in." The kwami came whizzing out of the ring and slumped down exhaustedly at the end of Marinette's bed. "Camembert?" He asked weakly. I ignored his plea and dragged a chair over to sit beside Marinette. She started to stir. "Mari?" I said tentatively.

Marinette's POV.

"Mari?" I heard a voice say. My eyes fluttered open and the light was too bright, I groaned and covered my eyes with my hand. I heard someone pad across the room and turn out the lights. I felt something nudge my foot. As I opened my eyes, two tiny green glowing eyes looked worriedly and curiously at me. I screamed and curled up into a ball. "Mari, don't worry it's just Plagg. You are fine. You're back in bed safe and sound. You had me scared for a minute." Who was that talking to me. I couldn't place the voice. Then all of a sudden it came rushing back to me. Adrien was Cat Noir. "Adrien?"

"Yes, princess?" He let a sigh of relief.

"What does this make us now?"

He sat his hand on top of mine and leaned down to gently whisper in my ear. "Partners, friends, soul-mates? I'll be happy with anything as long as I get to spend time with you.." I shivered at his breath on my cheek. "I've loved Adrien for a long time but you don't love me."

"Mari, relax. I'm going to go back to my room now and get some sleep. I recommend you do too. I'll see you tomorrow a breakfast." He stood up, scooped up Plagg and walked out the door, shutting it quietly. "Tikki, spots off." I lay in bed contemplating what I should do. By the time morning came around I still lay in bed, staring at the ceiling thinking about the situation.
