King P.O.V

I am sitting here waiting to start the trial of my daughters lover. I cannot believe she is in love with this worthless man. She is a princess who shall be married to a prince not a common peasant like him. I watched him as he walked to the centre of the arena awaiting for his fate.

Out the corner of my eye, I saw my daughter suggest the right door to her lover. That door has the tiger. Not the lady.

She would prefer her lover to die instead of getting married to some lady. Oh how selfish. well as much as I would like to see him die in the jaws of that tiger. I cannot let that happen, it is too easy for him to die Therefore, he shall get married instead and if my daughter doesnt want him to be married to a lady he shall be married to a man. After all she has betrayed me by falling in love with this peasant.

It breaks my heart to see my daughter in so much pain but she deserves better like a wealthy prince or young king. I motioned for a guard to come over. I told him to remove the tiger from the right door and place it behind the left door and to put a young handsome man behind the right door. The guard looked at me as if I has three heads and walked away.

A few minutes had passed and I started my speech. Welcome to another trial. This man has fallen in love with the princess. He is not worthy to have her hand; as punishment, he shall choose a door left or right to decide if he will die or be married. Let the trial begin. I watched in delight.
