The year is 1980. You're 17 and are in your senior year of school before you go to college.

In your class there is a boy who always makes you sigh, his name is John Martin Maher. He's a bit shy, just like you, so you had not talked. Whenever you try to talk to him, some friends of his arrive and you lose the courage to call him.

Your birthday was a day ago, and your father had given you a guitar. "But I don't know how to play the guitar!", you think. You decide to look on the school's bulletin board if there is anyone willing to give music lessons. Most warnings are about football teams, cheerleaders and student guilds. The school signal, warning of the beginning of the next class, plays. You're about to give up finding some worthwhile warning when you find one that catches your eye:

"FREE CLASSES OF GUITAR, VIOLON AND OTHER GENDER INSTRUMENTS - JOHNNY MARR - SATURDAY, 8 A.M. - SCHOOL MUSIC ROOM"

When you read that the class schedule is 8:00 in the morning, you get discouraged, but since this is the only warning about guitar lessons, you end up leaving the time aside... Something intrigues you more... "Who is this Johnny Marr? Is he a boring middle-aged man? Ah, if he plays guitar, then he's cool... This name isn't so strange to me..."

You take off the paper from the bulletin board and put it in the bag. You go to class, which you are already a little late.

You look forward to Saturday. This comes in the blink of an eye! After having your breakfast, and getting ready, you pick up your guitar and go to school. You tell the porter why you're there, and he let you in soon. You look at a clock above the front door and see that it's still seven minutes before class starts. You run to the music room and are relieved to see that the teacher hasn't arrived yet. In fact, your heart leaps to see that the only person in that room except you is John Martin Maher. He is sitting in one of several chairs scattered around the room, with a beautiful guitar in his lap. You blush and think of getting out of there, but he sees you and nods shyly.

-- H-hi (Y/N)! -- He says.

-- Hi John... Ho-how are y-you? -- You respond, very embarrassed, entering the room. -- I didn't know that you d-do guitar... lessons... -- You almost sigh when you say this, since you've always had a crush on guitarists, coupled with the fact that you have s crush on him.

-- Oh, actually... I don't do guitar lessons... -- He speaks, blushing. -- I teach guitar lessons... -- He emphasizes the "teach" and you feel a tremendous cold in the belly.

-- Re-really? And... Where're the students? -- You ask, to try to disguises the shame.

-- Actually I don't have any student... yet... unless you've come to a class...

--That's exactly why... But, I didn't know you're Johnny Marr... -- You comment somewhat confused. John chuckles.

-- Well, the boys who invented that name and I thought it cool... But anyway, you're my first student... Do you know anything about playing guitars?

-- So, uh... I don't know anything yet... -- You say, picking up your guitar that until then was stored in the case itself. John makes a sign so that you sit next to him. With your guitar in hands, you do what the boy asked for. He shows some positions of the fingers and you try to copy him. An hour and a half later, you can already play some basic notes. Ypu're impressed when John plays a song... He's really good!

-- I think for today it's good... -- He talks tired.

-- Yeah, I think so... Thank you so much Johnny! Can I come back next Saturday? -- You ask while you're guarding your guitar.

-- No... You can come to my house tomorrow... What do you think? So we go on and... Talk a little... You're a really nice girl, (Y/N)... -- He speaks, guarding his guitar too. You two go outof school together.

-- Well, ok... See you tomorrow! -- You talk, turning around and going to your house.

The next day, you can't wait to go to Johnny's house. Just like the day before, you play for a few hours. You finally learn to play a song. When the supposed lesson ends and you are about to go to your house, the boy calls ypu to have an ice cream. You don't even think twice before you accept.

At the ice cream parlor, both of you orders a cone. John insists on paying for you. You talk and laugh a lot. Since your house is near the ice cream shop, John insists on accompanying you to this one. When you arrive in front of the door of ypur residence, you feel a little strange.

-- So... Thank you very much... For the class and for the ice cream... -- You start to thank, but you're cut off by Johnny, who pulls you gently by one arm and gives you a kiss on the lips. You look red and wide-eyes at first, but soon the shyness passes and you close your eyes, as well as wrapping your arms around the boy's neck.

And from then on, every guitar lessons that Johnny gives you ends up like that.
