Why Are You In My House?

After much pacing and mentally cussing out June, I went to my room and decided to take her advice and call Jongin.

"Hey, Jongin? It's April"

"Hey"

"Yeah it's me wassup"

"Nothin' much you"

"So uhm I found your number on the receipt and was wondering why you put it there?" I asked

"Because I wanted you to have it"

"But, Why tho?"

"Look, I gave it to you. Many other girls wouldn't have questioned it," he said

"Well I'm not like 'Many other girls'" I said making air quotations.

"Look, just go with it, I'm going to be taking you shopping next Friday, we have some things to do."

[Beep, Beep, Beep]

I looked at the phone with a stank face after he hung up and almost threw it.

"I ain't doing shit he say-"

"How did it go?" June asked as she barged in.

"I assumed you heard the whole thing, he was on the speaker."

"Yeah, I did," She said sheepishly "But anyways! He's taking you shopping Friday!! You're going right?"

"No, Didn't you hear me?"

"Oh, I just drowned that out. You're going!" She smiled

Friday came way quicker than I expected and next thing I know I'm being pushed out of the house by June and toward a cheerful Jongin.

"You look amazing," Jongin said as he opened the passenger door for me.

"Are you sure that it's safe for you to be walking around with me out in the open, with no mask"

"Of course it is! Exo isn't as well known here these days so it's rare for somebody to recognize me," he informed me as he got inside the car

"Mmhm" I said as he pulled off.

During almost the whole ride I sat in silence listening to the music jongin was playing.

"Can I play a song?" I asked

"Sure" he said passing me his phone. On the lock screen, I saw that there was a picture of him and a smaller boy and girl which I assumed to be his niece and nephew. I smiled at the sight and unlocked his phone which surprisingly didn't have a password.

"No password?" I asked him

"Nope, I need to be able to get ahold of my phone quickly since i'm working on a comeback soon, and recording"

I nodded and soon after turned on the song, which was Lying is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off by Panic! At the Disco. I tried to keep calm while listening but ultimately failed.

"So testosterone boys and harlequin girls will you dance to this beat and hold a lover close? So testosterone boys and harlequin girls will you dance to this beat and hold a lover close!!" I screamed doing the dance I made to go with it.

Jongin laughed. "Is this what you do every time this song comes on?"

"Don't mock me!" I pout as we pulled into a parking lot. I really feel like I should be paying more attention to where Jongin was driving, Just in case I had to run away.

I looked at the sign to see that he'd taken me to my favorite pancake house. I looked over at him once we got inside and smiled "How did you know?"

"Know what?" he asked confused

"This is my favorite pancake house. What did June tell you?" I asked skeptically

"No" he revealed "I just like going to this one the most." He said

I nodded and rested my head on his arm until we were seated. We were seated in a booth right next to the fireplace which was my favorite place to sit.

"I swear June hijacked something" I mumbled as jongin looked at the menu.

"What would you like to eat?" He asked.

"Blueberry pancakes, grits, and bacon."

"Did you even look at the menu?" Jongin asked.

"Nope, I said that this was my favorite place."

"Ok then, I think I'll have the peanut butter and banana stuffed french toast with bacon." Jongin said.

"John's banana." I mumbled.

"Did you say something?" Jongin asked.

"What? Uh no, no I didn't." I said.

I snickered to myself before starting up a conversation with Jongin. It was pretty casual we talked about likes, dislikes, and hobbies until I started to hear screaming from afar. It turned out to be what seemed like a mob of fans storming up to the pancake house.

Jongin sighed holding the bridge of his nose "I didn't even get to eat yet. C'mon April let's go."

I looked at the window and back at him "So what am I doing"

"I'll compensate the restaurant later but go through the kitchen and go out through the back while I cause a distraction. Get the car and pull around I'll find a way out." Jongin said

I shrugged and figured that it would be better if I did what he said so I took off for the kitchen, I originally was going to jump out the bathroom window. I thought that running through the kitchen would be like how it was in the movies but really all it was was me almost getting burned and almost making everyone drop everything, Literally.

When I finally made it out i ran as fast as i could to jongin's car and started to unlock the door i watched as he ran around in the restaurant trying to avoid the fans. By the time he'd escaped the restaurant i had gotten into the car and had pulled out of the parking lot

"Get in loser we're going shopping" i shouted as jongin bolted for the car. Since i'd let the top down he just jumped inside.

"Thank you so much" he told me kissing my cheek as i pulled off.

"Do you do that every time someone saves you from a mod of fans?"

"No but you deserve it for an inexperienced person."

I giggled but kept driving until we reached a gas station. Jongin gave me a confused look as I got out of the car "You need gas and I want some type of food."

"Well at least take my card" he told me handing it to me "just don't spend it all in one place."

"I don't think i can" i said looking at it "and it's a black card?! Can we go shopping?" I pleaded leaning over on his side of the car.

I'm not sure if it was the amount of my cleavage he was seeing or if he really gave in to my begging but he said yes and i skipped my way into that gas station.

I bought some chips and about 5 granola bars because i seriously love granola bars. I walked back to car and threw the bag into the car and got in.

"You didn't get anything for me?"

I looked at jongin then back at the bag a few times then saying "You can have the chips if you want"

"But i don't like those chips" He said as if he were a three year old

"Have you ever tried them?" i asked

"No"

"Then just eat the cheetos then, I'm pretty sure you know what those are" I sighed

"But why?" Jongin asked

"Can you start driving? I want some real food"

Jongin chuckled and started the engine back up "Lets go to whole foods first and then maybe you can cook for us."

"I'm down with that"
