Wow, college. I can't believe I am actually a freshman in college. It's about damn time, though! I arrived at my dorm a few hours ago. My parents came with me to help me unpack and get settled, and we just finished unpacking the last box. We all stood there looking at each other, waiting for someone to start the goodbyes.

"Well...this is it." I said, breaking the silence.

"I'm going to miss you so much!!" My mom said, pulling me into her arms.

"I'll miss you too, mom." I pulled away from her and hugged my dad.

"Don't do anything stupid, Lauren." My dad said. Of course that's the first thing he said.

"I'll miss you too, dad." I said, laughing.

"Don't forget to call as much as possible!" My mom told me.

"I will, don't worry!" I yelled back as they walked out the door.

I walked over to my bag and grabbed my One Direction magazine. Jumping back on the bed, I stretched out and then began flipping through the pages. I slowly looked at the pictures of them and read some of the stories. Gosh they're hot. My thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door followed by someone walking in. I jumped off of the bed and shoved the magazine under it, praying whoever it was didn't notice what I was reading. You're probably wondering why I care if they saw. Let me explain:

A few years ago, when One Direction became popular in America, my friends began obsessing over them. Oh, by the way, I am studying abroad. I'm from America, but I am studying in London. My parents decided to come with me to help me get settled and then have a little vacation to themselves, now that they are finally kid-free. Right, where was I? Oh yeah, so my friends began obsessing over One Direction. I decided that I was too cool for One Direction. I told everyone that I thought their music was crappy and that they are super ugly. I honestly didn't mind their music though, it wasn't that bad, and they weren't that unattractive. About a year later, I loved their music. And I thought they were the hottest things alive. I began obsessing over them as much as my friends did, but I didn't want anyone to know that I fell for their charm. That would be embarassing. So I have kept it a secret ever since.

The girl standing in the doorway looked at me funny, wondering why I had jumped up so quickly. She shook her head, figuring it was nothing, and introduced herself.

"Hey, I'm Leslye. I'm your roommate." She smiled.

"Nice to meet you! I'm Lauren." I said, smiling back at her. She sat down and began to unpack.

"So where are you from? You certainly don't sound british." She asked, curiously.

"Oh, I'm from America. I'm studying abroad." I explained.

"That's so cool! My brother is touring America right now with his friends." Leslye said.

"Really? What type of tour? Like driving around and sightseeing?" I asked.

"Um..not really. Have you ever heard of One Direction?" She asked. Why did she change topics so randomly? That's strange.

"Oh, yeah..I um hate them." I answered. I am going to keep up my act of hating One Direction. I knew she wouldn't know my friends, but I wanted to be 100% sure they wouldn't find out how much I love One Direction.

~LESLYE'S P.O.V~

My name is Leslye. Leslye Tomlinson. I am Louis Tomlinson's sister. Yes, Louis Tomlinson from One Direction. I'm beginning my first year of college. I walked into the room I will be staying in for the next year to find a girl jumping off of her bed and pushing a magazine under it. I don't even want to know what was in that magazine. LOL.

"Hey, I'm Leslye. I'm your roommate." I said, smiling.

"Nice to meet you! I'm Lauren." Wow, she definitely had some foreign accent. I thought it was American, but she didn't say enough for me to be sure.

"So where are you from? You certainly don't sound British." I asked, curiously.

"Oh I'm from America. I'm studying abroad." She replied. I wish I could be in America. Louis and the boys are touring there now and I miss him so much!

"That's so cool! My brother is touring America right now with his friends." I told her. I was going to tell her who my brother is, but I figured I'd give her a few hints to see if she figured it out first.

"Really? What type of tour? Like driving around and sightseeing?" She asked, clearly not thinking about a concert tour.

"Um..not really. Have you ever heard of One Direction?" I asked her. She's probably like why the fuck is she asking me about One Direction.

"Oh, yeah..I um hate them." She answered. I looked down, shocked. So much for telling her who my brother is...
