If you were to ask Toshiro Yoshiaki what his favorite part of the day was, he would instantly and confidently tell you that it was when he got to see Kavi.

Katrina. As she had insisted he call her. A honor that he held close to his heart; never daring to utter her name in the presence of others. It was sacred to him, something she trusted him with because when it came to the Oasis, it wasn't an easy thing to give out one's true name.

In a world where you could be anything, why would you ever be yourself?

That's what Toshiro thought before he had met her. And once he did, he realized that there were a seldom few people in the world that didn't need to become another person, because they were already perfect as they were. Katrina was none of those people.

She was so effortlessly herself.

She didn't bother to choose an avatar that was extreme in appearance. For the most part, she modeled her in game avatar with variations of the basic features. On more than one occasion both her and Aylo stated that Kavi didn't look far off from Katrina; which made Toshiro feel like he knew her just a little bit better. When he looked at Kavi, he imaged what Katrina looked like. What color hair replaced the neon ombre of magenta and purple? What color eyes replaced the bright blue ones that he was use to seeing? There were times that he would catch himself staring at her, lost in thought as he tried to picture the girl behind the avatar.

There was something about her that mesmerized him. Even from the moment they had first met, he had been awe-struck by her.

She roared with an energy that could light up any room. And her spirit was calming, like the comforting way the air felt after a long, cleansing rain. And she had the uncanny ability to make any stressful or anxious situation turn to one of laughter and peace. She made him feel like the sun itself was something that she crafted just for him; something she molded with her hands and infused with her own light just so he could feel the warmth of her soul. She was the type of person that created calm amongst chaos, someone who cradled another's heart during times of mayhem. In a world that seemingly one cared for the gain of the individual, she gave out pieces of herself so willingly in order to help others.

He didn't think that there could be anyone like her in the world.

And he would be lying if he said that she didn't own his heart and soul; holding the two in each of her hands. In the short year or so that he had known her, she had laid claim to both without even knowing it.
