"yeah I was thinking, I'd come back that Friday after my classes then I'd leave Tuesday since there aren't any classes that Monday or Tuesday because of a holiday" I explained
"oh, that makes sense. I'll talk to my friend and see if he can arrange that flight for you" My dad said
"can you also...find out if he can get a ticket for my friend too?" I said before biting my lip
"I'm guessing this is a friend friend"
"it's not like that. I'm not even sure, I need to ask him first if he'll be willing to come"
"sure I'll try and make that work. is this the friend Storm was asking me questions about? Markus' son?"
"yeah"
"oh. I've been meaning to talk to you about that actually. Be careful Micaiah. You're just like me in some ways, and if he's anything like his father...just be careful"
"I hope this isn't you trying to tell me to stop seeing him because—"
"nah, you're a grown man" He said cutting me off "you can make those decisions for yourself, you know I can't tell you who to be with. all I'm saying is that my relationship with Markus was perfect in the beginning too, but it was very rushed, there were communication problems that led to even more problems. But obviously you guys aren't us, but that can happen in any relationship truthfully, so just be careful is all I'm saying. Take it slow, but I'm pretty sure you're already doing that"

"oh and something else. if you guys do decide to take it further, try and keep it on the low—"
"dad I don't care and I don't think he does either" I interrupted
"no that's not the reason why. you're well known, whatever you do is going to be talked about. your relationships, not something you want to be talked about. and he's not used the fame stuff, so I suggest you guys keep it on the low for now, keep it strictly close friends who know. talk to him about that though, it's you guys decision"
"thanks dad for the advice"
"anytime. so what are you planning on doing out here for your birthday?" He asked
"I'm not really sure, but I know you know so I don't know why you're asking me"
"w-what?" He asked in a fake confused voice
"Taylor's planning it and I know you and Storm know what it is. and I know you're paying for it so obviously you know"
"well...I may know a little something" He shrugged "don't you have class?"
"I just got back from my Business Com class. I'm going to Chemistry now, but that doesn't start until one"
"okay well my break is almost over and I told Bernice I'd call her right about now so I'll talk to you later. I love you, if you need anything just text me okay?"
