Everyone had worn their dark clothing as they all stood on the land where the fight occurred.
Everyone who died from the war was being buried as trees were planted right on top of their coffins from below the ground.Jungwoo held Ara who was crying on his chest while they stood in front of where Sicheng and Miyeon were gonna be buried along with Suho and Taeyong.
Rulers of other kingdoms also came to the ceremony of the deaths of the creatures considering it was one of the worst wars that could ever occur in their world. Of course, Taeyong knew it was all his fault. If he wasn't so greedy about the necklace, none of them would've been dead. Now, both innocent creatures he's dragged into this mess along with the necklace itself has vanished.
Suho stood in front of Miyeon's 'tree' as he held the flower he was supposed to give to Miyeon at that double date they had three days ago. Yes, it has been officially three days after the war.
After a few hours, everyone left including the rulers of other kingdoms after saying their condolences to Jungwoo, Taeyong, Suho and Ara.
Now, it was just Jungwoo and Ara in front of the ground where all those creatures lie.Ara faced Jungwoo
"Let's go.." Ara said with a weak voice after cryingJungwoo nodded, holding her hands. But her hands suddenly vanished out of his hold. Jungwoo stopped and looked back at Ara who wad a panicked expression plastered on her face. Jungwoo followed Ara's gaze as he widened his eyes after seeing what it was.
Her hands were fading, into blue glittery particles.
Jungwoo looked down and saw her feet slowly fading away as well.
Jungwoo immediately faced Ara"Ara, what is this? What's happening to you?" He asked
"No no no no not now, please" Ara shook her head multiple times, ignoring Jungwoo's question
"Ara!" Jungwoo snapped at Ara, trying to get her attention
"Please, explain what this is!" Jungwoo desperately asked
"T-The potion" Ara replied
"What potion?" Jungwoo asked, panic starting to take over his body
"M-Miyeon found a potion for me to get back to my world and she told me to drink it before the war just in case I don't survive.." Ara explained
"When were you gonna plan to tell me?! When you've completely vanished away without me knowing?!" Jungwoo yelled
Ara's vision became more blurry from the tears, building up in her eyes
"N-No, it's not like t-that. Please" Ara said, looking straight at Jungwoo's eyes as she shook her head
"B-But, what do we do now? Do you just vanish a-away? Will I never get to meet you again?" Jungwoo asked, tears forming in the corner of his eyes
"I don't know.." Ara replied as she looked down, avoiding Jungwoo to see the tears flowing down her cheeks.
By now, only the top half part of Ara's body remained, still fading as she laid herself down to Jungwoo's lap.
Jungwoo held Ara's head closer to his, landing his lips on hers for probably the last time.
The kiss wasn't ordinary, it was soft and gentle, but the sadness behind it was obvious. The two felt as if the time stopped and it was only the two of them left moving.
They slowly parted themselves from each other as tears flowed down on their cheeks."Please don't forget me.." Jungwoo said
"I might forget you b-but just know that I'll love you until my very last b-breath" Ara tries reassuring
Jungwoo wanted to reply but it was too late, Ara's entire body has faded away.
The boy leaned his face on his hands as he let out more tears. After minutes of crying, Jungwoo wiped off his tears, standing up as he faced the direction off to his kingdom.
He stopped on his tracks when he saw the two figures in front of him
"Mother?"
