The Hellish Emotional Strategy

You people myt be wondering what I found tht would make the lycan change his decision. Let's just say it was bad and I wasn't sure if it would work because of his cold hearted, emotionless demeanor but I was desperate and I had my own reasons, so it was worth a try. Flynn had booked me a plane ticket for tomorrow to leave New Orleans so I had to meet lycan today and try to reason with the devil and as I said.... try.

As I entered the headquarters again, my heart was pounding and I wasn't sure what was going to happen. I had booked an appointment to meet him so this wasn't a surprise visit, it would be more of another an episode of getting humiliated again session.

As I entered his office, a refreshing scent of mint and pine hit my nostrils and it was soothing but what came next wasn't so much.

"if you are here to change my mind then you can leave, you will be wasting both of our time. I don't know about yours but mine is important to me " the lycan spoke nonchalantly. He was pissing me off by the second but I tried to keep calm and replied "we both know why I'm here. Your decision was bias and I need a justified explanation as to why I can't do my research here"

"Why do u think it was bias?"

"Because I'm human and you defy/hate people who are not your kind"

"you are way over your head. I rejected it because it wouldn't work and it was more for your selfish answers than to help others". He had hit a nerve and it was my turn to hit the nerve, so I did.

"Thats not true and you are the selfish one as you are keeping your prejudice and judgement before the needs of others"

"What do you mean?" getting annoyed by the second.

"what I mean is that your pack is in dire need for the miscarriage situation. There has been 80 cases in the past 2 years and 20 of them were from your pack alone. Your beta's mate had her 2nd miscarriage recently and instead of addressing the issue, you have been neglecting it, proving how cold stone heartless emotionless of a person you are "

When I said that I was going to hell for using an emotional strategy, I wasn't lying. I know I was just starting the truth but rubbing salt on fresh wounds and accusing someone of something like this especially when all I know were the facts and not the whole story was wrong and the plan backfired. Instead of making him guilty, it triggered him, his annoyance turned to anger and his pupils pitch black and within seconds I was pushed again a wall with me facing a really intimidating and scary looking face of the lycan.

He was beyond angry and serious but he managed to stay calm and said " Its taking me half of my strength from tearing you apart. No one has disrespected ME and survived. LEAVE before I change my mind about not killing you".

A normal person would be scared to shit and would go away immediately but something being wrong with my brain, I wanted to test lycan's patience and tried to get out of his grip but as I said TRIED. It was strong and I kept trying, he eventually let me go and Then I replied "I'm not going anywhere. If you want to kill me, you are most welcome but I'm not leaving until I get my answers".

"I don't care. Leave"

"NO I won't"

"I said LEAVE"

"NO I'M NOT GONNA LEAVE"

"fine" With that he pushed me out of his office and slammed the door on my face, but me being me kept banging on the door and next, two guards came and tried dragging me out of the head quarters. And as I was about to lose all hope, the door opened and the lycan commanded the guards to let me go and then he said
"You are extremely stubborn......... I dont trust you but.... Fine I will give you a chance. I will give you 1 month to achieve 50% of the results."

"but it a 6 month research work"

"you either take it or leave it"

"FINE, I accept it"

"you start from tomorrow" he was about to leave when he spoke again "and guards... You can throw her out of the HQ for now. She joins tomorrow"

And with that I was thrown out.

"so what?"  I asked confused.

She hit my head and then said "so did the lycan allow you to stay or?"

" Or what?"

Now she threw a pillow at me and said "Eve STOP messing around and answer properly" annoyed at me.

"Yes I'm staying and I can do my research here" I said grinning like a idiot and next I know jules had caged me in a unbreathabe hug.

To be honest she is the sweetest bean in the world. Despite all the responsibilities that came along with being luna she managed to be down to earth and tried finding joy in every small things too. She is the best thing that happened to my brother and me as well and deserves to be protected at any cost.

"gurl, you alright?" I asked returning the hug.

"yeah, I'm alright. Just so happy" she replied pulling away. I could see her getting sentimental and tears dropping from her eyes and I got worried so I questioned her "Juliette whats wrong?"

"What.... Nothing is wrong"

" Juliette Diana Anderson... You better tell me what's wrong. I can sense it so don't hide"
