Work

I quietly walked behind Overhaul, not daring to say anything. The events from before still had me in shock.

"What is it?" He asked monotonously. I shook my head, he definitely doesn't need to know my thoughts right now. How did he even kill that man? Was it because of his quirk? And...why was he so cold all of a sudden? I mean he's been acting cold since I met him, but I guess more distant than other times. Then again, I don't remember anything except for the last few hours. Damn amnesia...

"We're here." He said, standing before a wooden, archaistic door. "Just a warning, my- I mean, our companions can be a bit...annoying." I nodded, mentally preparing myself for what's to unfold behind this door. He slowly opened the door, and walked in. I quickly walked behind him, closing the door behind me. Before me stood eight men with the same crow masks as the people that I saw before, all in a row. I stayed behind Overhaul, as they all intimidated me with their looks. Although Overhaul is much more intimidating. God, stop being scared! Show them who's boss! ...or something.

"Uhm, hi." I said, mentally face-palming myself. You could have said so many words... "I-I'm (f/n), but I guess you already know that." I slightly stuttered, the disappointment in myself growing. Why am I such a pussy? But nobody seemed to care about that, as they all introduced themselves. Though I couldn't remember their names very well, I tried to remember parts of it. Some of them looked even more awkward than me. Perhaps because they had to introduce themselves again?

"Now that that's done, I'm gonna give you work- I mean, tell you what you've been doing before." Overhaul said, signaling me to walk with him to the kitchen. "Because you're still a rookie, you have to do the dishes, clean the building etc. You may enter everywhere, besides the basement. Never go to the basement, understand?"

"Y-yeah." I answered, scared by his threatening accentuation on the last sentence. Why can't I go to the basement? What does he hide in there?

"Excuse me," I said, as he turned around and looked at me with those scary, golden eyes. I shook my head. "Uhm, nevermind." He kept looking at me, before rolling his eyes and walking off. I stood there blankly, what do I have to do now?

"Get to work." He commanded, as if reading my mind. I nodded quickly, and started searching for cleaning tools.

-time skip-

I fell down on my bed, tired from all the work I did today. I looked at my clothes. My once white shirt was now completely brown and covered in dirt and dust, my white pants looking the exact same. I hope I have more clothes here, since I don't wanna look like a tramp. I walked to my closet, but didn't see any clothes. That's weird, didn't I live here? I'm sure I would have more than just this outift.

"Whatever." I said to myself, and slipped under my white sheets. I thought about the events of today, until I fell asleep.

(Overhauls POV)

"So what are we gonna do with the girl? Can't we just kill her?" Chronostasis suggested. I shaked my head.

"Her quirk and connections can prove quite handy for us, and it wouldn't hurt to have another member in our midst." I stated, why are they all so stupid. It is that I need them, or else I would've killed them all already.

"But she doesn't remember anything, right? How can she be helpful to us without her memories?"

"It is because of that, that she is useful. We make her believe and do anything we tell her."

"Sounds like you want to keep her for other reasons, boss." Katsukami said smugly, as I shot him a threatening glare, his confident composure dropping down to that of a helpless bird. Pathetic.
"I n-never said that!" I rolled my eyes.

"I think Overhaul deems her useful in regards with Eri, right?" Mimic asked. I nodded.

"Maybe she'll stop trying to escape then."

A/n: soo it's been a long time since I published something. I was gonna cancel this at first but then I got a spark of inspiration on how to continue this, and started editing the other chapters because of their horrible grammar mistakes. And now l decided to write chapters again! Mostly because of all the people asking for more chapters though, hope I haven't disappointed y'all with this. I know it's short, but I just wanted to get this out, partly because I wanted to get this message through too. Anyways, more chapters following soon!
