*Your pov*

"Three little birds sat on my window, and they told me I don't need to worry. Summer came like cinnamon, so sweet. Little girls double Dutch on the concrete." I sang as I walked down the nearly empty halls of my high school. It was the last day and I had just cleaned out my locker. I only had one year left and was stoked to have a full 2 and a half months dedicated to relaxing.

"Maybe sometimes, I've got it wrong but it's alright." I sang more of my favorite song by Corinne Bailey Rae. "The more things stay the same, the more they seem to change. Don't you think it's strange."

"Girl, put your records on, play me your favorite song." I hear a familiar voice, and it sounded like a dying horse.

"Matthew!" I turn to see my boyfriend of 2 years standing behind you. "Why didn't you tell me your coming?"

"I wanted to surprise you." He smiled.

"I'm honestly surprised."

Matthew had just graduated a month ago and you flew out to see him. Living in another state was hard, especially with not seeing each other.

"Let's go." He grabbed your hand and you continued your little jam session to "put your records on" on the way home.
