After Godspawn had left, Arcadia went to Samma'El to tend to his wounds, which had spontaneously disappeared.

"What the fuck..." Arcadia whispered.

Samma'El slowly opened one eye, and a huge grin worthy of an idiot's smile had marred his face.

"Is he gone?" Samma'El said inadmissably.

"Asshole! He could have easily killed me!" I yelled.

"I knew he wouldn't. Besides it was-"

"A test? Right." Jade butted in.

"I was going to say an exam, but same feces, different odor, I guess." Samma'El shrugged, "I knew he wouldn't kill you because he knows you're of high interest to Sumatra." Samma'El said.

One of the names called out to me in my dream?

"I keep hearing the word Sumatra. Who is he?" I asked.

"Well, she is the Goddess of all that is, otherwise known as the Overseer." Samma'El explained.

"Great. When do I get her autograph?" I asked.

"Not yet. She is currently looking over your progress with the Galgamere crisis. She will reveal herself when she deems you worthy to be in her presence, which means you and the others need to train. You need to prepare to face Galgamere, but he is no mere foe. He can and will strike you all down with one thought." Samma'El grimaced.

"And no one can stop him but you four."

The four of us exchanged glances, smiles slowly forming on our faces.

"I'm in." Jade said.

"Got nothing better to do." Arcadia said.

"Let's do this." Marcus smiled.

After a full day of sparring and training, I kept watch outside by myself, sitting next to a campfire. I had a twig in my right hand, tinkering with the woodpile that was engulfed in flames. The night was solemn, and peaceful. Gushes of wind continued to grow louder and louder, until the desert sand blinded me. The sand settled, and in front of me sat a humanoid lizard, wearing ebony breast armor and greaves, and stood 12 feet tall. By all accounts and descriptions, Galgamere was standing right in front of me. He stared down at me, but not with ill-intent. He walked to the other side of the campfire, and sat down with legs crossed. He sat with his back straight and his palms on his legs. He was calm, collected.

"You're Galgamere?" I asked.

"In the flesh, yours truly. Shame you don't recognise me like you used to." Galgamere's voice was deep, and croaked at the end of the sentence just as a large reptile would.

"Guess coming to us would make for a good ambush. No one's expecting you." I said.

Galgamere chuckled lightly.

"I am not a savage. My forces are mindless, and only respond to bloodlust, whereas I like to think myself as a being of chivalry, if not one of opportunity." Galgamere smiled.

"Only opportunity I see here is that you could kill us right now and you'd only have to deal with the Elemental we haven't found. You'd be leaving loose ends, though."

"Spoken like a true killer. I like that about you," Galgamere smiled with amusement, "but you couldn't be more wrong."

"Enlighten me, then."
