A/N: I revised this a number of times already until I gave up so... Truly sorry in advance.  ╥﹏╥

Beam was humming a song that got stuck in his head while he was in the middle of walking himself home. It was one lazy afternoon where classes were cut short and most of his classmates were eager to end the day to catch some rest or to sleep. Others chose to hangout to their favorite bars celebrating the end of the semester. The hell week was devastating the nickname the students gave to it made sense. Just one week of examinations and deadlines and it already made everyone reach their wit's end.

While each of them already had plans, Beam kindly refused every invitation he received for he had things to attend first before taking any kind of break.

Beam waved his friends and classmates goodbye as they passed him in the road. Many wondered why would he choose to walk to and from the university when he could easily use his car but as often as they would ask, he always answered them with a smile, leaving them without saying anything.

He didn't need to explain everything to them just to satisfy their curiosity when they could just let him be. As a result, he earned himself a reputation of being mysterious and at the same time weird. Especially when there's an aura surrounding him they couldn't explain.

It was like a feeling of if they upset or hurt him in any possible way, bad things would happen to them. It was not proven yet but no one ever dared to try it. They were always tip toeing around him even careful with their words.

Beam, as a rational person he was, brushed it off with a laugh when someone pointed it out. Assuring them all that he was just a normal person studying medicine trying to be a great doctor someday.

Nearing to his destination, a cold breeze touched his skin that made him walk a little faster. Smiling to the thought that he was about to reach, he couldn't hide his eagerness to meet the people he had been dying to see since the crack of the dawn.

His friends and classmates had noticed it before but they would never understand his reasons why he spend so much time with people he didn't know very well even if he try to explain it to them.

Also...I don't want them knowing more than of what they needed to know about me. There are some things that must be hidden away.

There are some people in his life he could never introduce to the public not just for the sake of secrecy but because of his own selfishness. He liked the idea of having different sets of acquaintances and friends.

"P'Beam!"

"P'Beaaaam!"

A lot of high-pitched voices called his name which instantly caught his attention the moment he entered the mini park at the center of their subdivision. Little devils as he called them.

"You guys are so early!" The Medical student answered as he approach them with a wide smile on his face. There were at least four to five kids surrounding him obviously couldn't wait for his arrival. The children he always meet at the park became his source of happiness notably when his world turned upside down when a terrible accident happened to him and to his family. He was a freshman college at that time.

His parents died on the spot while he and his brother fought hard for their own survival. His brother was still in deep coma even after two years and the loneliness was creeping in, thus, the presence of the children.

Beam missed him dearly and one of his ways to cope up was his time with his little devils.

"So what do you guys want to do for today?" He asked.
