Chapter 7

School Cafeteria, Beacon Academy

Jaune... Jaaaaaunnnneeee...

"Jaune? Are you ok?" Jaune noticed Pyrrha and Ruby's attention to him. "Oh? Yeah, why?"

"Its just that you seem.. Not OK..." Ruby said, thinking on the training match between him and Cardin Winchester.

"Nah! I'm perfectly fine, see?" He puts a thumbs up and attempts to smile, nervously laughing after a few seconds. Clearly something was bothering him, and the whole table had an idea on who it was that was bothering him today.

"Jaune... I think it has something to do with Cardin, and I believe he has been picking on you since the first week of school." Pyrrha states, worryingly looking at Jaune. Nora and Ren couldn't help but agree, with several times seeing Jaune 'talking' with Cardin and his team.

Piccolo and Gogeta looked to Jaune with a bit of concern, thinking how this guy does seem to be on the weak side and not standing up for himself, Bardock especially thinking it.

"Ahh he just likes to mess around with me y know? like friends!" Jaune said, trying not to keep it in their minds, but Ruby wasn't buying it.

"He's a bully." Ruby flat out said.

"Oh please, name one time he's 'bullied' me.." Jaune couldn't help but see everyone on the table looking at him as if they've seen it all, clearly shutting Jaune up for a few seconds.

"Jaune you know if you need help from your team you know you can just ask.." Pyrrha said, causing Nora to jump onto the table startling everyone else.

"Oh! We can break his legs!" Nora did a bone breaking action, causing Gogeta to look at his left arm instinctively for some odd reason.

"Its fine guys! Besides, he not only a jerk to me; he's a jerk to everyone."

"That doesn't make it any better Jaune, you know he's only going to weigh you down.." Piccolo said, turning his attention to Cardin, who was currently harassing a girl with brown bunny ears.

"I'll be fine Piccolo, and if push comes to shove I'll defend myself..." Jaune paused after that last line, scared at what Cardin could do to him if they ever got serious.

After the fight between Piccolo & Ruby, Cardin and himself were chosen next for a spar. Needless to say Jaune got destroyed. He was weak compared to Cardin, clearly getting outmatched in power as well as defense. Jaune was so predictable during the fight, having needed Glynda Goodwitch to stop the fight as he already reached red aura after about minute. Had she not stopped Cardin's final blow with his mace he would've been hurt pretty bad.

As they continued with their back and forth conversation Weiss and Blake looked to where Cardin and his team were located, finding them right by the nearest table to the cafeteria entrance with said-bunny girl.

"No doubt standing there to wait for their victims like her, not people I'd prefer to be with.."

"He's not the only one." Blake could only comment at Weiss' dislike of the bully, agreeing on something ever since their little argument during class.

The table went quiet for a few seconds before Gogeta broke the silence "So! I heard that they have training grounds, and that the amphitheater is open. I'm itching for a fight to be honest."

"Well then if you wanna brawl so bad, why don't you and I have a go at each other? Fair warning I PACK QUITE A PUNCH" Yang boasts while punching her fists together.

Everyone except Gogeta openly cringed at the dry pun, as Yang could only laugh at their reactions. Before picking up their stuff Ruby heard her scroll vibrate in her pocket.
