Emerald Forest, early in the morning . . .
The sun was high, moving towards midday as all that could be observed was the forest floor. Deep with Emerald Forest was a certain individual, meditating alone, having a time of inner peace. He could feel the earth beat in sync with his own heart (or well, Hearts?).
"Thought I'd find you here." Gogeta glides into the scene, arms crossed with a smile on his face.
"Your up early, for once." Piccolo scoffed before chuckling with the saiyan, as the water rushed passed the two, it calmed their nerves to see this place at peace.
"As if anyone could miss this place, it's pretty nice!" Cheerful at the river that ran through forever forest, though Gogeta was a bit confused. He had never seen this before on the night they arrived, maybe he just didn't see it..
"Gogeta, have you noticed?" Piccolo asked, wondering if Gogeta knew about their current state.
"I think I do...? Nope, not a clue." Gogeta put his hand on his chin, thinking deeply about what he meant about states. I mean there were cities back on Earth, but he could-
"N-not cities you idiot! I meant our power, our ki!" Embarrassed by his stupidity, he quickly regained his composure, closing his eyes before Gogeta notices his purple face.
"Ever since we enrolled in Beacon Academy, so much of our power had been sucked from our bodies... No.. It was the moment we arrived in this Remnant that I realised that we weren't at our full potential." Piccolo thought to himself, leaving Gogeta awkwardly standing there dumb-founded.
"I already tried contacting King Kai, but even that hasn't worked... What should we do?" Gogeta looked to Piccolo for an idea, seeing as how he couldn't get in contact with anyone.
"I'm not so sure, but for now I'd recommend staying at the school." His expression remained the same, as Gogeta looked towards the school with glee. "Those school kids are pretty nice huh, kinda surprising."
"Well you did save them, so they owe you much more... Why'd you come here?" Giving a questioning look to the dual-minded saiyan, his eyes remaining closed.
"I was actually going to ask about our current problem, but you've already got it under-wraps. You should swing by soon, I'm gonna go with Bardock to buy some new clothes." Piccolo flinched a bit in his meditation, finishing off and turning to Gogeta.
"You can't be serious."
Gogeta said "I am serious, that Ruby managed to convince the guy to go out for once and get some new clothes. Maybe even some weapons."
Interesting...Maybe I did get to him after all... - Piccolo thought, before continuing, "He hasn't spoken to me directly about any of this." Gogeta understandably nods, before replying "I didn't think one prep talk was enough to calm him down like this, but hey I guess you're the man's man." Piccolo visibly cringed at the comment, floating away from the river before walking past Gogeta, with the latter following. "How did you even know I talked to him about that?"
Gogeta smirked a bit before replying, "I was faking being asleep. Or well I was asleep, until Bardock marched in the room. But at least now, today, we might actually go out and get some new stuff."
"Heh, why would you even be interested in clothing? Didn't you two always want to focus on training?"
"Well, when you're the husband of a brilliant scientist/boss of the richest corporation on Earth, it's understandable that I'd be hounded about appearances." Gogeta shrugged with an annoyed expression, remembering the times as Vegeta when Bulma would drag him around West City, just to find suitable clothes.
"At least, I'm half her husband." Gogeta let out, gaining Piccolo's attention once more. Pausing for a few moments he looked to the sky, thinking about everything thats happened before they were sent to this world. The times where he spent his days training in the gravity chamber, motivated to defeat him, to defeat Kakarot. All that time he wasted in that chamber, yet despite it he managed to spend time with the people he loves... The small-moments, when Trunks. Not the one from the future, but a new Trunks, one who lived in a time of peace, wanted to be with him. Those years were surely the most interesting, take away all the fighting, all the endless deaths and satisfaction, he found something more. Vegeta found a family who loved him, and...
Back then, I hated the idea of having a family.. I valued strength to stand above all, to surpass those who would dare stand against me and rule the galaxy.. But now I truly see... To think I would realise how important it was the moment before I died.. - Gogeta thought, reminiscing his sacrifice against Buu. Soon after his final explosion, it all went black, stuck in eternal darkness. It was only by pure coincidence, that the horned-freak managed to release everyone from Hell, including me.
"Looking back on it now, you're lucky that an accident happened around the time that it did." Piccolo said, who had finished meditating and began walking back to the Academy. Gogeta scoffs, letting some of Vegeta shine through, as he follows. "I've discovered that Remnant hasn't discovered space-travel, so we can't travel off-planet."
Gogeta sighed, his stoic tone quickly dropping for a more disappointed mood, the honesty contagious as Piccolo's pace started to get faster. "Lets head back, its almost 7:00 and from what I've heard, many are early-birds." Piccolo said, slowly beginning to run as Gogeta moved beside him. "Well, since were here.. How about a race, a competition for old times sake?"
Gogeta... You never change, do you Goku? Even with Vegeta balancing your stupidity out..- Piccolo smiled at the request, giving Gogeta a smirk before the two blasted off through Emerald Forest heading back to Beacon Academy.
TEAM GPB's Dorm Room . . .
Bardock's sleep schedule however, was cut-short when a huge boom could be heard throughout the hallways. Bardock quickly rocking his head forward facing his hands out with energy balls ready to fire, only to find the entire room empty, and the two beds housing Gogeta and Piccolo also empty.
Waking up in such a sudden way had Bardock getting a headache, slowly falling back onto to his bed noticeably irritated by the sudden wake-up call.
"Keep it down...!" Bardock weakly shouted, clearly still trying to wake up properly, and with a headache in terms of help, he's getting anything but. Before he could slowly recover, knocking could be heard from his door, as Bardock knew it had to have been someone important.
Someone Bardock didn't feel like seeing right now.
So Bardock turned the other way from his bed, choosing to return back to sleep. The knocking on the door began to increase in sound, echoing throughout the room even more, as Bardock grew more angry. the knocks got even harder, as at this point it sounded like someone was punching the door, angered by their lack of attention.
Bardock was getting sick of this persons shit, and slowly got off from his bed with a loud thud!
Opening the door, he found two figures standing next to each other looking a bit confused, Bardock could only say, "What the Hell do you two want?" Getting a closer look at the two he could recognise the first figure, the very same girl dressed-up with a red hood, and extremely capable with her sniper-rifle-scythe.
"Are you okay?! I heard the boom from by room and- oh." Ruby, after hearing the supposed explosion from what she heard, worryingly ran to the dorms housing JNPR and even his own. To Bardock it was an inconvenience, but to Ruby it was a sight she wasn't expecting to see.
