What Love Feels Like

This word called love is hard to explain,
For it is strong, and not so much as plain.

Love is the butterflies that flap their tender wrings,
Inside the pit of your stomach a melody in my thoughts ring.

I stammer like a fool, and fail to control my thoughts,
Tell me if this is love so I can connect the dots.

Love they say is a feeling  of affection,
The thoughts that play with my deep emotions.

Love is gentle, caring concern, hidden deeply in the heart,
Just waiting for the right person to make the adventure start

Love is the feeling that tightens your hold,
For the person you cherish, like people cherish gold.

Love is different for everyone just open your heart.
You'll find love even if you're not too smart.

But love for me involves you in my life,
When the choices I make, I don't have to think twice.

For me, waking up to see your face,
Even though we don't have the same ways.

Just stay by my side forever,
If I were asked to give you up. I'd always say never.
