"Hades, the time has come for the demigods to make peace between the Third World. Unknown darkness is arising from the Void of Chaos. Camp Half-Blood,Camp Jupiter, and the Gods all combined is not enough to defeat the creator of the universe. But maybe, just maybe....... we can align every source of good power to defeat whoever is rising." she mimicked a cough, said "The wizards." And then again, mimicking a cough.
The lord of the Underworld, who was tensely sitting in his throne, looked grave. "I agree, Hecate, but what is to happen? Who shall we send?"
"I was thinking that we should send two demigods, one from each camp," The Goddess of Magic started pacing the length of Hades' dark throne room. "Maybe that girl, daughter of Bellona..... Reyna, was it? And that son of yours that I have become quite fond of," Hades scowled at that. "Nico di Angelo. Yes, they would be quite good for this quest. What do you think, my lord?"
The room temperature dropped to below zero, alerting Hecate that Hades was not happy. "Hecate," Hades' voice was dangerously calm. "My son will have nothing to do with this, do you understand? He has been through so much, even Tartarus...." The God of the dead's voice broke on the last two words, then cleared his throat and snapped out of his trance. "NO! I forbid it! Nico will have nothing to do with this! But, Reyna can go. JUST NOT MY SON."
"Um, Hades, I am sorry to interrupt, but the—WHAT IS SHE DOING HERE!?!?" Hecate barely had time to dodge before Persephone swung at her with an Imperial Gold Scythe. Hecate dissolved into cloudy blue mist, rising to the ceiling, just out of Persephone's reach.
Hades looked enraged. "PERSEPHONE!! HECATE!!" That got their attention. They swiveled their heads to look at Hades. "Perse, Hecate is just here to discuss with me about a quest for the demigods to ally with the wizarding world. CALM DOWN FOR ZEUS'S SAKE!!" Hades was highly agitated by the fighting and bickering of the goddesses.
"Well, you could have just said so, honey! Your cereal is ready!" Persephone then skipped off to the dining room with her scythe dragging behind her.
Hades facepalmed. "Sometimes, I just don't know what to do with her." He stated, aghast. "Hecate, where were we? Oh yeah. I was about to unleash my wrath upon you for.... for..." A murderous look crossed the god of the Underworld's face. "For telling me that Nico had to go to the Third World!"
The Goddess of Magic sighed. "My lord, please. I will do anything for this quest to go on!"
"Yes,Yes, I understand. But tell me, Hecate, why my son? Why not that scoundrel of an Ares' kid, Clarisse La Rue?" Hades said, too eager to get his beloved son out of trouble, but still knowing what the answer will be and why.
"The prophecy. The prophecy, that is why. You know that very well."
Hades remembered his mental note he had made earlier. "Oh,yes. About that, has Apollo gotten the prophecy to the Camps?"
"Ah, he is working on it...... so, Nico can come?"
Hades sighed, a deep, terrifying sound that will send shivers down your spine and give you nightmares when you sleep. "Fine." He growled indignantly, not wanting any more pestering from the Goddess of Magic. Then, he snapped his fingers, willing the ghost king, Nico di Angelo, and Reyna Ramirez-Arellano to be summoned into Hades' throne room.
