Writing is subjective, of course. A great piece can have grammatical errors, and a perfectly written piece can be dull.

For judging there is no point system, because it isn't a number of points out of 100 that makes someone read a book. It's the overall enjoyment.

Judges will read 1-3 chapters of each book in their assigned genre, although they are welcome to read more. Then, they will consider factors including grammar, plot, characters, etc, and then PM me the top three books from their genre, based on how those factors contribute to the book's overall enjoyment.

Writers, if you want a detailed breakdown, head to Rose Reviews because that's the place for grammar, characters, etc individually.

Contestants, make sure you're following your judge. If there isn't a judge listed next to your genre on the Entries chapter, that means I am your judge at the moment. Check back regularly because judges are subject to change.

Due date for all judging is between December 1st and December 2nd.

PM ME IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BECOMING A JUDGE!
