The day had been awkward between the three roommates and friends. They were in their second class listening to their professor ramble on about a hunting trip he took when he was younger.

"You wouldn't believe the size of the buck we found. My father couldn't believe it!" Professor Port exclaimed. At this point he was on top of his desk with a plastic cap gun. Some students were sleeping, some attempting to defend their faces, and one group built a fort out of binders and chairs.

Yang was in a sour mood as she was struggling to stay awake. Blake was fidgeting with her pen as she took quick glances towards Yang. Ruby was in the middle feeling all the tension between them.

"I aimed the gun towards the massive creature and was ready to fire." Port was now behind his desk. Before he could finish his glorious tale the bell rang.

"Well students the story will continue next time. Remember we have a test next Friday." Everyone groaned as they exited the room.

"Hi Ruby!" An energetic girl with bright green eyes greeted the shorter girl. "Oh hey Penny. How's it going?" Ruby replied. "I'm sensational!" Penny replied excitedly.

Ruby and Penny started chatting about classes and other topics. Blake timidly approached Yang.

"Yang I'm-"

"I was worried sick last night. You should have called me or texted me. I didn't know where you were and was going to call the police." Yang replied angrily. Her eyes were slowly starting to turn red.

Yang has a rare eye condition where her eyes reflect her strongest emotion. In her case it's anger.

"Yang your eyes.." Blake mumbled.

"I don't care about my eyes right now!" Yang shouted before stomping off. Blake sighed and wandered off.

"So you come here often?" A male voice asked from behind Blake. The lonely girl turned around to be greeted by her friend Sun.

"Hey sun.." Blake sighed.

"What's wrong? You seem more moody than usual." Sun asked.

"Me and Yang got into a fight." Blake replied.

"Oh damn. You alright? I know Yang can get a bit aggressive. She didn't hurt you did she?" Sun asked panicking.

"No I'm fine. She wouldn't do anything to harm me." Blake trailed off. She wouldn't do anything to harm me but I've hurt her.

Blake sighed and started for the dorm. It was a pretty chilly day but everyone seemed excited.
Once she reached the dorm she was met by an eager Ruby struggling to keep her shoes on.

"Ruby where are you going?" Blake asked as her friend ran past her. "Sorry Blake can't stay gotta a weapons demonstration to get to! Fix things with Yang before I get back!" Ruby yelled as she continued down the corridor.

Blake sighed. 'How could Ruby be a successful weapon designer but I can't hold a relationship together.' Blake thought as she flopped on the couch.

"Ruby! I'm back!" Blake heard Yang yell as the door closed. "Ruby!" She looked around and eventually they made eye contact.

"Oh. Hey Blake." Yang sighed as she started walking to her bedroom.

"Yang we....we need to talk." Blake sighed and brushed some hair away from her face.

"Yea we do." Yang replied as she turned around. Her eyes a deep crimson. Blake recoiled in fear. "Look Yang I'm sorry. I was out with Ilia and her friends and we got a little drunk-" Blake was cut off by Yang slamming a fist into the wall.

"A little?! You didn't answer your phone! I was worried sick! I almost called the cops to find you! I..I thought about her. You worried me so much. I feel betrayed Blake." Tears began to form in Yang's eyes.

Yang's eyes slowly began to fade back to lilac. Blake slowly approached Yang as tears streamed down her cheeks.

Blake placed a hand on Yang's shoulder but it was quickly shrugged off. Blake tried again but Yang stood up quickly and ran into another room.

Blake sighed.

"Ruby please help me." Blake mumbled as she sat back down on the couch.
