Ruby was driving back from her weapons demonstration. Blake has texted her about seeing a movie later that day and trying to patch things up with Yang.

Ruby called Blake as she drove down the freeway.

"Did you talk to Yang today?" Ruby asked. Blake sighed. "Not yet. She came out once to take her eye drops then left again. I think she's still mad at me."

"No shit Sherlock." Ruby sighed. "At least she remembered her eye drops." Ruby pulled off the freeway and approached a stop light.

"I'm near campus. I'll chat when I get back." Ruby hung up the call and tapped her fingers on the steering wheel.

A very fancy muscle car pulled up next to Ruby's car. The windows were tinted to the point she could barely see anyone inside. The driver side window rolled down and behind the wheel was Neptune.

"Hey Ruby how's it going?! It's been forever!" Neptune shouted.

"Hey Neptune. It has been a while. Things have been alright." Ruby replied nervously.

"You hyped for the wedding?" Neptune asked excitedly. Ruby nodded.

"Awesome! See you then!" The light turned green and Neptune sped off. Ruby followed.

Blake met Ruby in the parking garage as she was eager to leave.

"Blake? What are you doing here?" Ruby asked as she exited her car. "Hey was just wondering if you were ready to go." Blake sounded off. Her voice was shaky and breaking.

"What happened?" Ruby asked seeing the pain in her friends eyes. Blake broke down crying.

"Yang hates me! I asked her to the movies and she said yes but I might have let it slip that I already saw it with Ilia and now she won't talk to me!" She cried as she slumped against Ruby's car.

Ruby sighed and squeezed the bridge of her nose. "Let me get changed and we'll go." Blake jumped up and hugged Ruby.

Ruby changed and the pair made their way to the campus movie theater. Yang wasn't at the dorm so they assumed she went out somewhere.

When they arrived they saw Yang with another girl. Blake was about to rush over to her when Ruby stopped her.

"Yang needs time to chill out. She's probably watching something with a friend. Give her time." Ruby smiled. Blake sighed and nodded.

The two entered the theater, got their snacks, and took their seats in the screening room. Blake spotted Yang a few rows ahead.

"Who's the chick?" Blake asked Ruby pouting to the multicolor haired girl sitting next to Yang.

"That's Neo. An old friend of Yang's." Ruby replied.

Blake barely focused on the movie. She had her eyes on Yang the entire time. Ruby was a bit of a mess as the movie was a tear jerker.

After the movie a jealous Blake ranted to an emotional Ruby the whole way home.

Ruby flopped on the couch that night. Dressed in her pajamas she enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. The balcony doors were open as Blake sat outside enjoying the fall breeze.

Yang hadn't come back yet. She texted Ruby saying she was staying at Neo's place. Blake knew this but didn't want to accept it. Blake couldn't be mad but wanted to scream at the same time.

"Welp I'm going to bed. Don't stay up too late." Ruby said cheerfully. Blake nodded as Ruby left for bed.

She laid in bed staring at the wedding invitation. Tears rolled down Ruby's face as she stared at the date. The wedding was in two days and she still hadn't confirmed her attendance.

"How did things go to hell so fast." Ruby opened her phone. The last text conversation she had with Weiss was a month ago.

Ruby sighed, turned off her phone, and tried to sleep.
