(3rd Person)

After having a talk for half an hour, the two seemed to have accepted the new member.

"How about his room?"

"I already fixed it."

"That's fast." Dream replied. Blue was still surprised about seeing the new member, being very happy around him.  Error was good at keeping up his act.

"Well, you two should probably rest, it's late already. I still have to do dream watching." He said, standing up. "Thank you Dream."

Getting dismissed from the positive one, Error and Ink were able to escape the interview. They both sighed and flopped onto Error's room, Error on the beanbag, Ink on the bed.

"Nice job." Ink finally said.

"Well, uh, thanks?" Error replied.

"Why did you really want to join us?" Ink suddenly asked after a few minutes of silence. He wasn't really sure if Error was just here for spying or for real.

"Welp...."

"The truth." Ink said, suddenly being serious.

Error sighed. (Again)

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you.."

"Go ahead."

"I was tired of destroying things. Fighting you guys, keeping the balance right-" Error suddenly paused as he covered his mouth, accidentally saying balance.

Ink tilted his head to the side. "What's the balance?"

Error buried his face in a pillow, groaning. He cursed under his breath for mentioning that word.

"Error."

"No."

"Please?"

"No."

"Pretty plessss with a cherry on top?"
Ink said, dying to know what was the balance.

Error Lenny-faced at him. "Are you kidding meh."

"Nuuu." Ink replied, throwing a pillow at him.

"Ouch--- that hurt Inky." Error said, then Ink looked at him.

"Inky? Then I'll call you Glitch." Ink replied, grinning at him.

"Fine."

"You still need to tell me the balance though."

"Later."

(Nightmare's POV)

"I-I'm Cross."

"Well, nice to meet you, Cross. Do you need any help?" I asked. He probably wanted revenge, but he didn't look like he could hurt anybody. A red scar was underneath his right eye.

"I-I want to get out of here....." he said quietly, trailing off.

"Maybe I can help you."

He looked at me with a little surprise. "Really?"

"I'm sure."

I held out my hand, then he hesitated for a second then took it. I teleported both of us to the castle entrance.

"You can stay if you want." I said, leading him around. He bowed a little and said thank you.

"Can you fight?" I asked him. He shakily nodded. We both walked to the door, and I opened it and walked in, Cross slowly following behind me.

"I'm back."

"Yeet, welcome back." Dust said, greeting me first. "Who's that behind your back UwU? Found yourself a boyfriend?" He teased.

"Shut up or I'll throw you out of the window." I said, death glaring him. He gulped-- and smirked a little. Horror lazily walked into the room. "Heya--"

"Where's Killer?" I interrupted him. "He left before you came." Dust replied.

I went to the couch nearby and gestured Cross to follow me, and sat beside me.

"Well, this is Cross everyone, the new addition to the group."

(Killer's POV)

I sighed as I sat down on the rocky surface, looking at the endless stars on Outertale.

He would be here by any moment now.

Since Error left the group, Nightmare stormed out and that was probably my only chance of getting out of the castle, since he wouldn't let us out sometimes.

"Hi Killer!"

I looked over to my left to see the small skeleton rushing over to me. I couldn't help but smile a little.

"Sorry I'm late. I had a meeting." He saidwhile sitting down beside me. "Well, it's fine. At least you're here now." I replied.

"So.. how's Nightmare?"

"Currently messed up in the situation where Error has left the group."

"What?" He said.

"You don't know?" I questioned back, then paused. Of course, Ink wouldn't tell at first, seeing as the situation is difficult.

He sighed. "I guess I'll have to ask Ink later."

There was a awkward moment of silence, us both looking at the stars.

He suddenly stood up, surprising me a little.

"Since we're here.. let's make a wish, shall we?" The little skeleton asked. I stood up beside him.

"Sure."

He tossed me a coin, and thanks to my bad catching, I missed. He laughed and I picked up the coin.

"I thought you were good at catching!" He squeaked. I shrugged, grinning at him. "I have very slow reaction time."

"Well, close your eyes, and when I count to three, say your wish but don't open your eyes." He said, while I nodded. We both closed our eyes.

1...
2...
3...

"I wish.."
"I wish.."

"That it will always be like this."
"That it will always be like this.."

We both opened our eyes in shock of what we wished.

The smaller skeleton thrower his coin, then I did too.

"Thank you Killer.."
"Thank you..

Dream.."
