Fake Not Hate
~•~

Mina;

Standing in front of the school gate, I look down to my phone while waiting. Despite arriving 20 minutes earlier than usual, you were feeling rather tense today.

Almost as if I'm getting prepared early for something bad to happen.

This is the type of hunch that comes around every once in a while, a warning perhaps.

Once I spot Suha striding towards me and looking down at her phone, I lift my head up and smile. But instead, she doesn't notice my presence and just carries on her daily routine and walks toward our usual meeting spot.

Dumbass, I think while waiting for her to realise the situation.

After she took two steps away from my amused form, she notices my shoes. The same running shoes I wear everyday to school, having it match my uniform. Although it is very much not allowed, according to the school rules, I didn't care.

She looks up to be greeted by my confused expression, trying not to snort from holding in my laugh. She gave me an embarrassed smile and quickly stopped herself from walking further, as she strides towards me again.

"You have two eyes, use them." I retort.

"In my defence, I was just used to you being late." Suha makes a point, while I chuckle at her statement.

As we walk to school and continue our everyday routine of meeting our friends, then heading to our first class of the day.

I stepped into the classroom and the first thing that comes to my sight, is Seulbi and Kim Taehyung not together?

Weird, I always see them interacting in the morning.

I walk to my desk and sit down to get ready for class, taking out my books. I continue everything, without even noticing someone sat beside me.

"Ohhh, Kim Taehyung!" someone said in a mocking voice.

"Oh shut up, Yoongi." A voice stated beside me, as I surprising look past my shoulder.

"Yoongi-hyung." The person reminds.

I look to my right to see Taehyung seated beside me, while two of his friends look down at us. I awkwardly smile at all three of them, before awkwardly continuing my task again.

Before I could even place my textbooks into my desk, I hear one of them speak out to me,

"Hi. I'm Park Jimin."

I furrow my eyebrows at his fascinating tooth-smile and especially his moon crescent-shaped eyes.

Next to Jimin, stands a rather tired looking guy. His skin so pale, I wonder if he's sick or is just never exposed to the sun.

Now, who is he?

"Unlike this energetic guy, I'm Min Yoongi. Genius for short." He continues the introduction for me, almost as if reading my mind.

I chuckle at how casual and comfortable they are and finally acknowledge them, "Kim Mina."

I see how confusion covers their face, as they try to decode my previous statement and foreign accent.

"I'm not fully Korean." I try to sense.

"She's half Japanese." Taehyung beats me to answer them. I smile at him and he sheepishly smiles back.

"Who's half Japanese? You?" An annoying voice chirps behind my head.

"Yeah, Kim Taehyung is totally half Japanese." Yoongi scoffs, as he answers Seulbi sarcastically.

"Really? I didn't know that! You never told me that before, Taehyung." Seulbi says pouting a little, while I almost snort at Jimin, who is trying to hold in his laugh.

Jimin laughs as he turns his back towards Seulbi and Taehyung, coughing out, "What a great act."

I almost peed myself from laughing so hard, just by hearing that one statement. At least I'm not the only one thinking like that.

When I calmed down a little, I turned my face to face all three of them properly. When I do, I'm faced with one of the most deadliest glare I've ever received.

Oh shit, someone triggered her.

I stare back at her, wearing the most unamused expression ever. Some people might even call it the bitch face.

When uncovering this situation, I start to think what we have become. We were once normal friends that were comfortable with each other, but now we have developed a sort of disliking.

Not hatred. Not enemies.

But rivals.

The boys awkwardly glance at our intense staring contest, before I broke into a gentle smile. She was confused for a second, but she received the message, somehow communicating without talking.

She blinked.

"You lost." I tell her and laughed.

She smiled back, sincerely.

It must've seemed a little strange and creepy to the boys, since they just stood there staring in confusion.  So I laughed again, easing the tense atmosphere.

As I continue to smile at the situation, I stare over at my partner.

To my dismay, he was staring at me too. Wearing an attractive smile that killed me, but was still able to save me from dying.
