Mina;

"Make sure you bring a book for your homeroom, next class you would have to read for 45 minutes." Mr. Hang, our science teacher said as he dismissed the class.

I walked out of the classroom with my biology stuff, heading to my locker. After switching my books, I make my way to my last class.

"Mina!" I hear from a distance, the feminine voice booming through the halls. Once I turn around, I'm met with a familiar face. I roll my eyes as I pretend to ignore her and walk away from her.

"Mina!" I hear again.

"Mina?" And again. This time louder and closer.

"Stop ignoring me." She whines, pouting when I don't fully give her my attention.

"You're so loud Suha, I would be able hear you all the way from India." I retort, as she jogs to catch up to me.

"Whatever. Your fault for not noticing me."

"Oh, I definitely noticed you, but I just didn't bother to act like I did." I respond with a usual
monotone.

"It's frikin time to read, why do we have to do such a useless thing during homeroom?" Suha asks with a pout, changing the subject to avoid getting dissed.

"To educate idiots like you." I dissed back, which makes Suha pout even more.

"Meanie." I hear her mumble under her breath, as I chuckle aloud.

We walk to the back row and sit down next to each other, contemplating what to do next before class starts.

"Mina and Suha, come here." We hear Ms. Shin call out. The both of us walk towards her desk, complying to her statement.

"I've printed out the images for our Winter Fair game booth, is there anything else you need?" The teacher asks, referring to our upcoming school event. The most important and only school fair, where all families are invited.

"Um. I think we still need a fidget spinner, to have the wheel spin. But other than that, I don't think so." Suha replies and I keep silent the whole conversation, before returning to our desk.

I look out the classroom door and notice a certain head standing out above others. Once I recognise the familiar face, I got reminded of a certain memory.

I suddenly laugh as tears threaten to come out, while Suha turns to look at me in amusement. I laugh so hard, I started slapping my lap.

"What, what, what. You okay? You're scaring me right now." Suha says, smiling at my weird way of laughing. But she is still obviously terrified of my sudden laughter, judging from her facial expression.

"Haha! E-Ethan!!" I manage to get through my hysterical laughter.

"Oh, I see where this is going. What? Did he say something dumb again? Like the dog-god joke?" She asks as I laugh even harder, recapturing the epic moment.

-

We were all in complete silence, attempting to listen during our classroom, but failing horribly. I was too tired and bored to even move a muscle, so I just stared down at my work.

Staring at all the math equations that I don't even care to do, it's all too easy for me anyways. I guess all that Japanese tuition sucked all the math energy out of me, that I don't even bother to do it here in class.

"Mina, Mina. What. Is the opposite of dog?" Ethan poked the side of me, trying to gain my attention.

Ethan is like the dumb idiot clown of our class, everyone finds him annoying at first; but we got used to it and now we find it funny. Now everyone in our class has a soft spot for him.

I furrow my eyebrows in confusion, questioning the question internally. But still attempting to answer the lame joke.

After thinking for all possible answers, I give up; my brain energy is just not working today.

"What." I ask in a monotone, as I usually sound.

"Um... god!" He hesitantly answers his dumb joke.

I stay there frozen for a few seconds, processing the 'so-called' joke.

Before laughing loudly, which captures the classes' attention.

Laughing not because the joke was funny, but because of how stupid it sounded. Ethan's natural voice crack, didn't help to ease my laugh either.

The teacher looks at me in shock and many other students seated around me start to laugh along.

-

"Okay that was funny! But not as funny as what Ethan did today." I continue laughing.

"Why? What'd he do today?" Suha asks again.

"He.. he FARTED!!" I say as I now laugh even crazier, "and it was so loud! I laughed for like 10 minutes straight, it was so funny!"

I look at Suha to see that she chuckles at Ethan's silliness.

"Come on, lets start reading fan-fiction. The Jungkook story we read last time was bombastic." She says once I end my laughing streak.

"Do you ever consider your choice of words to be, weird?" I asks out of curiosity.

"Nope." She answers popping the 'p' sound, "now hurry up and turn on your computer."

"Why do you never bring your own computer to read them?" I question her again.

"Why do I need to, when I can use yours. Plus I've read all the good fanfictions already, I want to read some of yours." She replies, making me feel like smacking her face.

I turn on my computer and go to my Wattpad library, to find an interesting story to read. Once I've found one, we start reading for the next half an hour.

Suddenly both our eyes flickered to look at my 'chat tab', that read:

Kim Tae Hyung has sent you a message...

I hurriedly click on that tab, curious of what he suddenly messaged me in class for.

TaeTae:
Tell Seulbi I like her.

I stare at the message, feeling a pang of unenviable pain overcome my whole body. I can sense Suha's jaw drop from beside me, as I can't help but only stay frozen in place.

"Oh my god." Suha exclaimed, clearly shocked since her assumptions of me and Taehyung's relationship was proven wrong. She quickly grabs my computer and types something back to reply to Taehyung's message. Once the chat box is in my sight, I silently read the message she sent.

Me:
Hello, it's Suha.
YOU COWARD! TELL HER YOURSELF!

I remain frozen in my place unsure of what to do, feeling hurt, sad, and defeated all at the same time. All the questions flooding my mind.

What about his girlfriend? Did they break-up?

Why is he telling me?

Did Seulbi confess back to him? Are they dating now?

Suha places my turned off computer in front of me, and stares at me in pity. Suha isn't the type of person that can comfort someone and make them feel better. I could tell she feels unsure of what to do, so I finally move from my original spot and smile.

"It's okay." I say.
