{Saving Elliot one-shot - A Rainy day}

"Shit."

Stella had asked Elliot to go grocery shopping by a car with Fintry's help, but being a usual jerk he was, he had run away with the car to god knows where only leaving a note on the fridge that said something like: "Only have 3 days left in here. Gotta spare myself some time to go drink tea with the queen -Fintry". She couldn't help but to laugh at the note written on a green sticky note which made her heart flutter because he had picked her favourite colour to write the note on out of all other colours. And thereby, she had no other choice but to walk to the store and back.

She had just finished paying for all the groceries and stepped out of the store carrying a shitload of plastic bags full of vegetables and spices when the rain suddenly decided to come pouring down, almost soaking her completely from head to toe. "Why do you have to come at this time of the day you stupid rain," she muttered quietly to herself and rushed back inside the store. Unfortunately, the store didn't sell umbrellas or some sort of raincoats so she had no other way out but to wait inside until the rain would stop.

She took a seat on a wooden bench near the carrot section of the store and dropped the bags on the floor. She waited and waited and waited. It had been 25 minutes but it didn't seem like the rain was showing any sign that it was going to stop.

Brrringg.

She heard the bell of the store ring indicating that someone had come in. She snapped her head into the direction of the entrance door and caught a glimpse of a boy who looked very familiar to her.

He had a tousled dirty blonde hair which made him look unbelievably cute, he stood a little shorter than 6 foot and he was wearing a red V-neck t-shirt and a blue half-zipped jacket with a pair of skinny jeans.

The boy was speaking with the cashier asking something as he pulled out his wallet from his jeans pocket and gave her a 50 pound banknote. The cashier then gave him 5 sheets of 10 pound banknotes in return while twirling a lock of her brown hair around her index finger in a flirty gesture.

"Can I have your number?" The girl asked as she batted her eyelashes.

"Uh, sure I guess. Here," he replied with a tiny hint of hesitation as he wrote his number on her hand.

He then looked around, scanning the room when his eyes landed on Elliot, only to realise that she had been staring at him for quite a long time. His forehead scrunched up in a frown and he found himself looking at the same expression plastered on her face, but the creases on her forehead were of a deeper frown.

He approached her to get a clearer view of her, the corners of his mouth started to slowly tug upwards in every step he took, not breaking the eye contact.

His genuine smile only made Elliot's lips twitch up automatically by themselves forming a smile. He sat beside her and stuffed his hands in his jacket pockets, "Elliot right? Haven't seen you in a while. It's me James Bond, remember me?" he said calmly, his gaze focused only on her.

It took her quite a while to recognise the boy, and 'a while' means approximately 5 seconds to process what she just heard and 3.5 seconds to gather all her memories. She was looking like a complete dumbstruck old woman who lost her fake teeth when she was just holding it 2 seconds ago. Not to mention that her mouth was widely agape. It was only 1.5 seconds later that the God above had given back her ability to speak. She closed her mouth and responded, "Oh my god, it's you! I can't believe we would meet here, Bond!" she exclaimed pretty cheerfully.

"You do know that my name is not really James Bond right?"

"Why of course, I believe it's something along the lines of Mudrock," she replied playfully as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.
