May
I sat in English class and listened to people talk about what went down on prom night. From what I heard it got real at the after party. I ended up not going because King couldn't make it. At first I was heated but then again I really didn't wanna go anymore anyway so it was all good. I could of went to the after party but I wasn't a partying type of girl.
Graduation was 2 weeks away and it couldn't get here fast enough. I been ready to get out of high school since freshmen year. Ever since my best friend died after 8th grade year I viewed everything different. Me and him talked about having classes together in 9th grade and all but things didn't turn out that way. It felt weird not seeing him roam the hallways, or cracking jokes making people laugh like he always did. He even carried my books and walked me to class. I missed him like crazy.
My school was just wack, there were so many rules, and a horrible dress code. Most of the females just played follow the leader and most of the guys acted like something they weren't. It was all about who was popular and who wasn't. I only fucked with two girls in school, which were Mena and Kaitlynn. They were some cool ass females.
Honestly the way the teachers taught, I didn't really learn much. However I made sure I stayed with A's and B's on my report cards and my gpa was a 3.0 or higher. It was only right that I did.
Graduation Day
This was the day I had been waiting for. I was finally about to get my diploma! I put on my peach colored skater dress, a pearl necklace, earrings and pearl bracelets with some cute peach colored sandals. It was 82 degrees outside and the sun was shining bright. My mom took a few pictures of me then drove me to the school. I got out, put my cap and gown on and went inside the building. All the students were waiting till it was officially time to walk to the stadium. I met up with my girls Mena and Kaitlynn by the gym. We talked and took a bunch of cute ass pictures and uploaded them on Instagram. A few minutes later it was time. We walked in line and out to the field. So many people were sitting on the bleachers and standing behind the gates. I instantly spotted my family all posted up together and I smiled.
After everyone got their diploma we were dismissed. My family came running up to me with balloons, roses and cards. This was a very happy moment in my life. I took another look around and just wished King was here to celebrate it with me. I just wanted to see him.
I had finally made it home and sat down to read all of my cards. All together I had 20 cards and money in each one of them. I counted all the money and my total came up to $600. I was definitely gonna go shopping with that money!
