Library Love Diaries
Eight – "Who's the girl?"
Justin
"Justin, how are you so late?" My mother asked as I entered our house and closed the main door behind me.
"Mum, there was lot of traffic. Toronto and it's traffic, ya know." I nervously laughed and lied to her. I mean I just couldn't tell mom that I went to meet a girl, who I happen to fall for the first time I saw and I almost put her in trouble.
Nope, not an option.
Mom eyed me carefully and I was still smiling as if nothing was wrong. "Okay," She believed and I sighed in relief.
"Mom, are you done with your packing?" I asked her as I plopped myself on the sofa. "Almost," She replied, smiling at me.
I nodded my head. I didn't have much to say because I was feeling a little guilty that I had lied to my mom. Sounds girly but I do share everything with my Mom.
"Who's the girl?"
"Rosa—"
Shit.
"I knew it." Mom grinned. This was her tactic to always catch me off guard with such sudden question and mostly I tend to answer and then regret it.
"There is nothing like that, Mom." I shrugged, blush instantly forming on my cheeks. "Your expression says otherwise." She stated.
"Mom," I whined, trying to ignore the question. "Fine, tell me when you're comfortable." She patted my back.
"Yeah, yeah," I waved off. Of course I was going to tell her about Rosalie but not now.
"Goodnight honey." She says and kisses me on my forehead and goes into her bedroom.
I wasn't sleepy anyways so I decided to make some coffee for myself and watch t.v for some time. First going into my bedroom, I change into more comfortable clothes for sleeping and grab a duvet and a pillow.
Jogging downstairs, in the living room, I arrange the pillow and the duvet on the sofa and then go inside the kitchen to make myself coffee.
After I was done, I comfortably sit on the sofa and drink my coffee. Flipping the t.v channels, my eyes fix at a sudden scene.
"Rose, I love you so much." The guy on the t.v confessed his love to this Rose girl. "John, I love you too," Rose confessed and had a shy smile playing on her lips.
"Will you do the honors of being my girlfriend?" John smiled cheekily at her and took out a velvet box which consisted of a ring, of course.
Rose nodded her head and that's when the background music started and the couple kissed.
I changed the channel quickly and couldn't help but cringe at such a cheesy scene of some television show.
Yes, I do believe in love. For God's sake I was myself in love with a girl, a very beautiful one I might add, but to propose the girl in such a common and a cliché manner was boring now.
I mean, if you want to propose someone, do it differently so that it will always be memorable for both of you.
Why the fuck was I even thinking about all of this? I mean I was not in a relationship right now but I guess, love has its effects.
Keeping the coffee mug on the side table, I lie down on the sofa and keep flipping the channel until I find something interesting to watch.
I couldn't help but let my mind wander at her. I mean how someone can be so beautiful and so precious and so shy and so perfect at same point of time. I smiled to myself at the thought of her.
Here I was complaining about the sappy romantic scene on the t.v but I myself did the most common 'romantic' thing today. As they show in movies, where the guy visits the girl at night secretly and climbs her balcony and stuff like that. I was about to do that when she stopped me.
Man, I was so whipped.
But I didn't mind at all.
Rosalie
"Where were you Rosalie?" I closed my eyes in nervousness and turned around to see my brother, Max smirking at me.
"Maxim, low down your voice and come in my room right now." I told him, more like ordered. "Sis, I think you're the one who got caught by me and you're ordering me?" He chuckled. This boy was way too mature for his own age.
"Maxim, please," I literally pleaded. "Oh, sister, I don't like you all worshipping me." He chuckled at his own nonsense.
I groaned and closed my bedroom door behind me.
"Okay, so what do you want?" I asked. "2 chocolate bars, new video game cd and 3 action figures." He said.
Wow that's it.
"Done but you better not say anything to mom and dad." I said sternly. "No prom-" I glared at him. "Fine, I won't."
"You better." I said. "I'll get you your things by tomorrow."
"Okay. But who was the guy anyways?" He asked smirking. "None of your business, Maxim Evans." I scowled at him.
"Whatever. Goodnight." He said and walked out of my room and went to his own room.
I sigh and close my bedroom door and lie down on my bed. Knowing Maxim, he won't say anything to mom and dad because of the things I was supposed to buy for him.
Thank god it wasn't dad or mom or else I would be so in trouble. This was the first time ever I was using this bribing method. Back then in Stratford, Chelsea used to do the same with her brother, Jack, and trust me it worked.
But I didn't intend to do it again. I mean I can't buy Max anything he wants and I'm so not planning to visit someone at night.
But I was kind of glad that Justin came to visit me. Like who wouldn't like a guy like Justin to visit them at night.
Exactly, no one would.
I smiled at the moments that had taken place a few hours ago. Justin was an amazing guy – for sure and I guess I like or maybe, just maybe, love him.
