Library Love Diaries
Eleven – "Hi Justin. What's up?"
Rosalie
"I'm sorry, mom and dad." Max, said with guilt. "Never ever do that again, Maxim Evans." Dad instructed him in his stern voice.
Eventually when I had told my parents about finding Max in the mall with his 'friends', they almost got it how Max had lied to them saying that he was going down in the playground to play whereas, he went to the mall with a bunch of his friends.
"I won't." Max nodded his head and answered. "You can to your room now." Mom said while looking at Dad.
As soon as Max made his way towards his room, my parents sighed and sat opposite to me on the sofa of our living room.
"I don't know what has gotten into this boy," Mom sighed in frustration and had her hands on her head. "If he wants to go out with his friends then he could have asked us." Dad ranted.
"Mom, Dad," I looked at them. "Trust me, Max won't do it again. He is freshly going to enter his teens so kids at this age tend to that."
Wow, am I so smart!
"You're right, Rosa," Dad said and nodded his head. "Yeah you are." Mom smiled slightly and agreed with me.
I got up from the living room to go into my room that's when Mom voice stopped me and I turned back to look what Mom had to say.
"Dear, dinner will be ready in half an hour so when I call out please come." Mom said and I nodded my head, smiling.
I quickly jogged towards my room and closed the door of my bedroom behind me. Quickly lying on my ever so comfortable bed, I sighed and closed my eyes for a second.
My eyes quickly dart open as I hear my phone buzzing and the message ringtone is played. Quickly unlocking my phone, my eyes widen when I see the sender of the message.
From: Justin
Message: Hey Rosalie.
Such a simple 'hey' message made me blush like an idiot. I swear my cheeks were heating up by now. Like, none, I mean it, none of my crushes have ever even talked to me or even messaged me.
I was happy, excited, blushing because Justin had actually made an effort to message me. Oh boy, he was so right when he said 'Get ready for some late night texting, Rosalie.' But as I know myself well, I know I am going to bore him because I'm not quite experienced when it comes to talk to boys, let alone messaging, if that even makes sense.
Not wasting any more time, I quickly type my response to his message saying,
To: Justin
Message: Hi Justin. What's up?
I quickly sent the message and that's when something hit my thoughts. Shit.
I looked so childish asking him 'What's up?' like who even does that even more. I am so sure that I just made a complete fool of myself.
My thoughts were interrupted by the buzzing sound of my phone which indicated that I had received a message.
From: Justin
Message: Casual things ya know watching t.v and stuff like that. What about you?
I swear after reading this message, I imagined him saying the same thing that he sent me in the message in his amazing accent and raspy voice.
His voice was something else. Like even Justin's voice could straight away make you fall in love with him.
To: Justin
Message: Wow, that's amazing. I'm just about to have my dinner.
I smiled to myself and hit the send button in order to send my reply to his previous message.
"Rosa, Max, the dinner is ready!" Mom called out.
Got to admit this, Mom has got some amazing timing.
Grabbing my phone, I quickly head to the dining room where Mom was just serving and my dad was sitting there while watching Mom in pure admiration, I guess.
My parents have always had this amazing love story and to be honest, they were kinda my inspiration for love. As cliché as it may sound, both of them were childhood sweethearts and then got married and the outcome was me and Max – gosh that sounded so cheap.
"What's for dinner, Mom?" I asked Mom, who was busy bringing glasses and spoons from the kitchen. As soon as she heard me, she answered my question.
"Club sandwiches with French fries." Mom nodded her head, smiling.
"Wow, mom are we going McDonald's today?" I smirked. "Something like that," Mom answered, smiling.
Just then, Max, came and sleepily came and sat beside me. The tension started to begin a little but I decided to make the air little comfortable by cracking my lame jokes.
My phone buzzed which made my parent's and my brother's attentions snap towards me. I blushed in embarrassment.
"Just the usual 'buy our product' messages," I shrugged it off and I hope they didn't come to know though.
I hope they didn't.
Quickly unlocking my phone, I read Justin's message.
From: Justin
Message: Yum. What's for dinner? My mom still is making dinner and I'm hungry. Can I join?
Trust me, I imagined Justin's cute pouty face and I swear to god that I wanted to pull his cute cheeks and kiss him.
I surely wouldn't mind him joining us for dinner.
To: Justin
Message: Aw, you can surely join and I wouldn't mind.
Smiling to myself, I send the message.
Did I look desperate to say 'You can surely join and I wouldn't mind?' Oh wow, I was by far doing an excellent job in embarrassing myself.
Way to go, Rosalie!
"Rosalie, start eating." Mom snapped me out of my thoughts and that's when I realized that I was blushing for 5 minutes thinking about Justin and making my parent's and my brother doubt on me. Oh boy!
"Yeah, yeah," I nervously smiled and started to eat the fries and then a bite of the club sandwich.
Being the nosy person he is, Max was probably looking through my messages and would be smirking to himself.
This was a long dinner to ever take place in the history.
