FLASHBACK

Nicki walked into her high school trying to hold her emotions together. She felt torn and conflicted. She had no idea what to do. She made her way to her locker hoping not to see B before first period but like always she felt a surprise kiss on her cheek which was always from B. She turned around to see a happy looking Beyoncé smiling.

B: hey beautiful

N: hey

Beyoncé's face immediately saddened at her tone

B: what's wrong?

Nicki just looked down until Beyoncé grabbed her hands gently moving closer to her.

B: baby tell me

That word she used to describe Nicki warmed her heart every time. Just as Nicki was about to speak the bell rang and she looked at Beyoncé as if she had to go but Bey never let go of her despite hearing teachers yelling at the kids to get to class.

B: babe

N: we need to get to class

B: I don't care about that right now. I want to know what's bothering you

She said as she slowly wrapped her arms around her back pulling her closer. Nicki still couldn't find the words to speak and B began to get worried.

B: is it about us?

Nicki just looked at her and Beyoncé immediately took them to the girls bathroom. She checked no one was in them before speaking.

B: what is it. Tell me Nicki

N: my parents... they don't like us together.

Beyoncé kind of knew she just not long ago went over Nicki's house to meet her parents for the first time and she didn't really feel welcomed.

B: so what are you saying?

Nicki sighed as she looked down

N: they want me to break up with you

Beyoncé's brows frowned.

B: what?

She asked shocked.

N: they don't want us together. They said if we don't break up I have to move out. I don't want to break up with you but I have no where else to go. I don't know what to do

B: live with me

Nicki looked at her surprised that she offered.

N: I can't just move in without your mom knowing B. What if she doesn't want me to move in

B: my mom loves you she'll have no problem with it. Lemme call her

She said pulling out her phone. It rang until her mom picked up.

T: hey baby everything ok at school?

B: kind of me and Nicki need to ask you a favour

T: okay

B: can Nicki move in with us?... her parents don't like us together and they said if we don't break up she has to move out.

T: ... of course she can move in

Nicki sighed in relief and a smile finally appeared on her face.

N: thank you miss Tina

T: it's nothing baby you're family. Just don't be having sex in my house or both of y'all will receive whoopings

They both laughed

B: we won't mommy. Thank you

N: yeah thank you miss Tina, this really means a lot
