Autumn Leaves
The ground is never bare,
not when autumn comes.
Instead it's covered in crispy leaves,
Crackling as you tred through.
There's no simple green leaves left,
apart from the evergreen branches.
Instead they're bursting with colour.
Everyone trys to sweep them away,
but this is a wasted effort,
because they are here to stay.
Whatever you do with them,
they will find their way back to their old place.
It is hard to get rid of leaves,
when they are being blown back by the chilly autumn breeze.
