Oaklynn's POV

"Brynn, it's time to wake up. Time for school" I said, waking her up to which she groaned to.

She got up and I handed her, her clothes so she can change then I grabbed her shoes and set them on the floor.

I walked into my room and went to my closet and dug into the basket of clean clothes i washed yesterday.

I pulled out some high waisted black skinny jeans that are ripped on my thighs and knees.

I grabbed a crop top that ended above my belly button that's also black.

It's a short sleeve.

I grabbed my timberlands and socks then put them on.

I walked to my vanity just as Brynn walked in so I could help her with her shoes.

The laces were knotted up.

I unknotted them and let her put them on and tie them.

I began doing my make up; Mascara, winged eyeliner, eyebrow filler, then I put Chapstick on because I don't want to wear lipstick today.

I put my hair in a really messy ponytail and then walked downstairs after grabbing my black leather jacket.

I followed Brynn down stairs and into the kitchen where Astrid is making breakfast.

I looked at the time and seen it was only 6:20am.

Too early.

Brynn sat at the table and started eating.

I ate and then I went upstairs with Brynn and we brushed our teeth.

Once we were done, we went down stairs again just as someone rang the door bell.

No one rings the door bell besides,

Aunt Clair.

I opened the door and was greeted by her smile.

"Good morning sweetie. I have something to tell you" She said.

I let her in and closed the door, walking into the living room and sat down next to Brynn.

"You're not going to like this, but Brynn will no longer be in your care" She started.

"What" I questioned.

"Yeah, I got a call yesterday from someone, it's to early to think. But they said since you're not of age yet, I will have custody of Brynn. I won't stop you from doing anything with her. You can still take and pick her up from school. Go do whatever it is that you want to do. But she has to live with me. I bought the house across the street, so you can see her whenever you want. She can spend the weekends with you. But she can't live with you" She finished.

"Why all of a sudden they do this now, it's been years since our parents died. This doesn't make any flipping sense" I said.

I looked down at Brynn to see her playing a game on her tablet.

She hardly gets to play on it, only in the mornings.

So don't come for me.

"I don't know sweetie, that's a very good question. But like I said, you can have her whenever you want. I won't stop you" She smiled.

"Okay, that's good to know. And you're close to me. That makes it better, honestly. Me knowing where she is and if she's okay" I said, giving Aunt Clair a small smile.
